We bought a box of snow skin moon cakes at this location (we usually patronize their Bolsa location) on 9/16 to celebrate Harvest Moon Festival (9/29). We were so excited to eat them since we only buy them once a year and couldn't wait til the actual HM so we decided to share one the other day. When we unwrapped one we were so disappointed to find that it was moldy after one week of purchase.We have not reached out to the store as we've experienced in the past the lack of customer service and the desire to make it right in Little Saigon so felt it wasn't worth it. Some of the brick and mortars here are just not big on making it right. But we felt strongly it needed to be addressed.I am Vietnamese and I support small business-owned shops in the area with my loyal patronage but gotta say, this one did not make the grade and takes the 'cake' for lack of freshness. Maybe it's the location. Maybe we'll go back to the Bolsa location or maybe it's time to seek out a new moon cake bakery.

As mooncake season approaches, giving mooncake is my way of keeping traditional values and showing my parents I care. My Hiep is our family's go to moon cake bakery. We have been going to their Bolsa location, but when I pulled up that location has been closed, so I quickly looked up where they've gone. Luckily they had another location for me to pick up mooncake. This location is a bit more hidden near some auto shops, but there was a decent amount of parking in the area. The set up is small and simple, but service is friendly and efficient. A complete box of mooncake comes in 4 in which I got 2 Dau Xanh and 2 Thap Cam 1 Hot since my parents prefer different flavors. These are sweet and potent with flavor so we usually cut them into quarters and share. Enjoy with tea! So funny cause I was talking to my nail lady about mooncakes and she said she gets them here too. It's THEE spot!! Until next year!!

Holy smokes! I haven't written a review in so long but I had to come out of retirement just to show My Hiep some love. First off, I never knew there were so many damn Moon Cake snobs on Yelp. You got "Elite" Yelpers pulling out rulers and s*** to measure the depths of each layer of the cake. Get over yourself, it's not that serious! The moon cakes are bomb and you should thank your lucky stars you live in an area that has them available and fresh. Imagine if you lived in bum f*** Bakersfield, you could only dream of a place like My Hiep, so be thankful! My parents recently came to visit, we stopped by and picked up 8 of them. At first, I was a bit hesitant seeing all the negative reviews from your Kimmies and Angies, (more like Karens if you asked me) but you know, Yelp reviews aren't the end all say all. I'll let my own taste buds be the supreme judge.Are they pricey? Hella yeah, why you acting brand new like you didn't know what you were getting yourself into? Are they bomb dot com and worth every penny? ABSO FREAKING LUTELY. My Hiep has supposedly been around since 1984, please keep doing what you do and provide tasty, authentic moon cakes to your community. Just ignore the small group of haters and complainers.

Went to 2 Places today to get my moon cakes for gift . First I went to Dong Hung Vien in Westminster and secondly to My Hiep. Just to look at the outside bag and box of the cake My Hiep boxe and bag is far behind then Dong Hung vien .... The bag from My Hiep is looking very cheap as well as the box ... the service at My Hiep is terrible they rushing you to pick the cakes even though it was no one in the store ... Back to Dong Hung Vien they have a very fancy bag and box making you want to give it as a gift they have good service at Dong Hung Vien Here are the photos I will post so people can compare how it is important to have a nice looking bag since these items are always give as gift for friends and family since moon cake festival

I usually enjoy this place, believing that it's reputation in the past was the best in the market and hence their $8 price for a single dessert, but now it's an absolute a rip off. To eat a moon cake with hardly any filling and only sugary dough in excess just shows how cheap they've gone. I won't go here ever again. Basic measurements is 1 inch. With only 1/3 filling or less means when you bite into it you will get sugar and powdery dough and even the mung bean or lotus inside is filled with filler. It tastes disgusting. How did they decline so badly? Was this new ownership, generation takeover? Either way, I'm throughly disappointed. It ruined my party and felt like I was serving cheap frozen desserts. But even then I wouldn't know where to get a dessert this outrageous.
