We arrived a bit early for our reservation, and ahead of the friends we were meeting. Both dining area and bar were nearly vacant, so we were skeptical; but within a half hour the place was hopping, apparently a favorite among locals. Would recommend the restaurant with a caveat: service and food were excellent, but once the Mariachis arrived it was nearly impossible to converse. Good musicians, but overpowered the room.
Went for fathers day and my dad loved it! We got the molcajete and queso fundido, super bomb! I've gone during the week and during the day and service is very slow. However weekends seems to be so much better!!
I'm in town for a long business trip and thought I'd try La Pescadora on Saturday night, so I made a reservation. Totally unnecessary; the dining room was empty, though the bar was full of basketball fans loudly watching a game. My seat was so low in relation to my table, I could barely reach over my plate.
