To start, Maria Pollo was a Juan Pollo at one time. The menu looked the same, the prices were similar. Unfortunately, the food, in my opinion was not as good. I really wanted it to be great because it's much closer to me than Juan Pollo. The chicken, while very tasty, was small, dry, and seemingly overlooked. I ordered the $45 chicken family meal with 2 chickens and they only gave 2 pico de gallo with the whole order and 1 package of tortillas which it should of came with 2 tortillas. It should of came with more salsa, had to pay for hot sauce since it only came with 2 pico de gallo. The lady wouldn't budge on giving us any hot sauce for free. Other than that food was great, they just like to argue over giving free hot sauce with our expensive purchase.. that's the only reason I give...read full review

The chicken and sides were pretty good. We decided to eat there but the inside dining area is small and in dire need of an upgrade. Everything just looks old and worn out. The counter guy helping us did a good job and gave good service. It's definitely better than El Pollo Loco but I would recommend taking your food to go.
