Had a really great birthday dinner last night. Our group dined in the igloo, which was cozy with all the snowfall around us. Service was great as always. The crab cakes, tuna sashimi tacos, Freddy salad, filet Mignonne and pork loin were all excellent, as were the cocktails and excellent wine list. This is an old time Aspen institution and it's a great place to see lots of familiar faces of the people who have been part of the Pinons team foe years.

Food on 2 nites in row wasn't as good as previous great experiences - really quite mediocre. Service was excellent as always...

Food was amazing! We ordered the Buffalo steak with a blueberry glaze it was so tender and delicious. We also had the American caviar and Crispy Oysters! The wine pairing with everything was perfect- great sommelier and staff was so friendly. We enjoyed the evening so much!! We can’t wait to return!!!

Love this place. Proposed to my wife there 31 years ago. We had venison steaks and fine wine.

One of our favorite spots whenever we’re in town. Don’t miss out on the pinions experience! I dream about their sole and the Freddy salad!

Never again!! Piñons was a huge disappointment. Somewhat strange dishes followed by a horrifying situation in which a deranged and entitled Piñons waitress named "Christine" called the Aspen police department because she didn't like her tip. The entire staff just stood there and watched this young woman cause a scene! The officer arrived moments later and we calmly told him what occurred. He was in literal disbelief that his time was wasted in such an unnecessary and ridiculous manner. A very unpleasant experience due to unprofessionalism.

What can I say about this place other than stellar service, excellent food and a cozy, inviting and classy ambiance. It was a great find for our first night in Aspen. We loved it so much we came back again 2 nights later! We will definitely be coming back the next time we are visiting Aspen!

If you're looking for a classy and cozy restaurant with delicious food and the most amazing team service I've ever had this is the place for you. The restaurant is pretty the bar area is relaxed, the staff are all friendly and the food is excellent from the Bison tenderloin to Dover sole and even the roasted cauliflower and mashed potatoes were yumm! We arrived in Aspen Thurs night and enjoyed dinner so much that we canceled a reservation for another restaurant and went back again Saturday. The owner Rob was open and friendly as was the bartender John and all the service staff. These San Diegans will be back to Pinions!

This place has great ambiance and table service, but the food is all over the place. Crab cakes, rack of lamb, filet of beef and dessert were all great. The pasta special was over cooked and under salted, the beet and goat cheese salad was a mixed salad with just some beets shaved on top, under dressed and under salted as well. Pinon's is only allowing a 'tasting menu' of $125 for 3 options, but it's just a way to force you to spend at least that much there. Tasting menus usually has chef inspired dishes you don't necessarily choose, but this was a regular dinner menu you needed to pick 3 things from.

I don't typically leave 1 star reviews unless it's a ripoff . Terrible service , meh food and awful frozen desert. Probably the most overrated place in Aspen.

We ordered takeout from here (because of covid limitations) and the food was stunning. But more than that the staff was so friendly. I had a very short wait and they went above and beyond to make sure i was comfortable while waiting. Try the foie gras! It was amazing!

I have been going to Pinions forever and I mean many many years but they absolutely lost me. $1,500 for 6 people and nowhere worth it. It’s been awful with Covid for restaurants I am sure but their $150 menu for an appetizer, salad and entree was a joke. That pLus $10 for this and an extra $10 for that. Then they automatically added a 20% tip. Aside from the stupid prices the steak was awful and most of my friends food was under cooked. Recently visited Jimmy’s and it was so much better. Pinions went from one of my favorites in Aspen to very likely the bottom of the list. Stay away!!

I understand restaurants are having a hard time with COVID -19, and I always give them the benefit of the doubt. However this place was so unorganized and incompetent it made us feel that this was their first day in business. Even all our dinner dishes were dropped on the floor. Crazy! Dinner was $2500 for 6 guest and it wasn’t even close to worth it. The owner was on premise that night, but he made no apologizes for the disastrous night.
