We have stayed at the Westin for many years for our Business conference and have never had an experience as terrible as this last trip. We have over $700 of charges posted to our account and in asking for simple clarification we were treated like the worst individuals on the planet. Travis their manager interjected as we spoke to the front desk and never in my life have I been spoken to as I was with him. When we asked for his managers contact information he continued to repeat “please do file a complaint”. Scum of the earth leadership team.

This hotel is beautiful and our bedroom villa was amazing. Our kids fell in love with the pool and the hot tubs were beautiful as well! Very easily located in the center on Avon. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Westin Riverfront. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, however you would not know. There was no construction noise throughout the duration of my stay. I was overly impressed with the lobby and the restaurant Stoke and Rye. We had a lovely dinner at Stoke and Rye one evening. We also had the breakfast buffet in at Stoke and Rye which was great. The servers were extremely professional and attentive. It was awesome to be able to order eggs any style on top of the copious amount of choices at the buffet. I have two areas for improvement (which I think are already in the works). First, I really enjoy Westins because they typically have very comfortable beds. The mattress was fine, but the sheets were not. They were itchy and uncomfortable. Same with the towels. Second, the shower was outdated and the water pressure was subpar. It is my understanding that a renovations of the rooms is in progress and I am hopeful they improve the bathrooms. I did find the room to be totally adequate, however, the bathrooms need an upgrade. All in all, I was impressed with this hotel and enjoyed my stay. I would like to stay here again after the rooms are renovated.

What a beautiful property. A wonderful spot right on the river. So great to walk along it. This is a few minutes away from the main Beaver Creek village. There is a shuttle a few mins walk from the hotel that can take you to and fro. Ubers and taxis are not the most available. This area is almost a self contained mini village itself with a few restaurants and a starbucks. Also late night room service is available which is pretty key because most things shut down early.

Gorgeous resort with best saline heated pool and hot tub in the area~! It's open all year round. Fabulous athletic center too. Plenty of fun classes to try for a fee. Enjoy walking along the Eagle River, just steps from your resort. Fly fish each day! Riverfront Gondola is steps out the door by Starbucks at the resort. Spa is decent too. Frank the resort shuttle driver to/from Beaver Creek has great suggestions too.Staff was friendly. This resort is equally appropriate for families, singles, couples all diverse backgrounds. Really can't go wrong staying here. The only downside was the hefty $50/day fee and $45/day valet fee. We hoped to try Stoke & Rye restaurant, but after sitting at our table for about 25 min. and no one waiting on us we left. That really was the only downside about our stay. Another perk, bar is open at the pool past Labor Day. Plenty of great activities and restaurants within walking distance of this resort too. Be sure to go to Fattoria-great Italian & Vin 48 for delicious tapas! Dog friendly at this resort too..Can't stop raving!

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. You can catch a lift right outside hotel. Everyone was friendly. Beautiful winter holiday decor and live music was amazing. Great gym with Peloton bikes and treadmills. Ended the ski days with the best hot chocolate bar!

Nice place but way overpriced and then they tried to charge me a pet fee of 150 when i did not have a pet with me. way too expensive for my blood and will not stay there again. They need to be more user friendly and stop acting like it is a Hollywood hotel.

Westin Avon was such a dream - every touchpoint from the valet to the spa was warm and welcoming. The team truly went out of their way to make our short stay really excellent. Our room was spacious, with a small kitchenette, a patio facing the mountains, and a large bathroom (heck yea for the rain shower!). Small details made our experience really special... welcome chocolates and champagne, paired with a handwritten note! Our visit to the spa was luxurious! With a gift shop front, I was surprised how well designed and relaxing the spa actually was! - felt like a hidden sanctuary. The esthetician was really kind and nurturing. The locker room alone was delightful!! We didn't get the chance to hop in the pool but the grounds are gorgeous, and there were small groups of guests hanging out there - creating liveliness that was not intrusive. (Our room was facing the pool, and noise was never an issue...even with the windows open!) The scene was inviting and the pool itself was large. Really excited to return and spend a bit more time here... we were only there for 1 night... also we didn't have our son with us for this trip - but there were plenty of families and it seemed to be supportive of any parents travelling with kiddos (and pups!).

Wee enjoyed our stay at the Westin in Avon. The hotel is modern and appealing. Our room and bathroom were very clean. Our room was good sized, plenty of closet and drawer space, had a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and dishwasher, a large well lit bathroom with double sinks and a walk in shower plus tub. Two refillable water bottles were provided and there was a fountain in the ice room in which to refill the bottles. The pool are was quite large, never a problem getting loungers or towels. There are 3 spas, one specifically for adults only. The fitness room was very well equipped and clean. There is a Starbucks and a market in the lobby.

We booked #917 a premium 3bd unit through kathy Standage at Exclusive Rentals on VRBO to sadly learn that there is a TOTAL DISCONNECT between private and officially hotel booked units. Services normally associated with rooms limited or totally absent. So called super host is rental agent who, in my travel experience, my be the most insensitive selfish lazy rental company imaginable. Stay away from kathy standage. Westin Unit 917 pretends to be a 3bd premium unit for $800/day for more than a month only to check in and find out there is a TOTAL disconnect between her, her owners and the hotel. No services... she's considered private. "***** TV's not connected to hotel system. We had to go to Walmart to buy our own. Then, within a day , when Apple charger wouldn't charge, she told us we were too much trouble, not like the 'nice people' who preceeded us and ordered us out on July 4th weekend with 3 days notice. Stay far far away from unit 917 at the westin. It looks beautiful on the surface, is toxic to a family with a mere scratch. Today, given the selfish 'eviction ' she billed us for an extra day for late checkout (unit NOT booked that day or next) gouged housekeeping to include a lockoff bedroom not used and a carpet cleaning for a dog who used 2 not 4 rooms. Oops, I forgot to mention, she forced us to cover sofa with blankets and sheets. Who has a rental if you can't sit on the sofa? NEVER rent a Westin unit from VRBO or AIRBNB. Westin treats you like 3rd class guests...owners fight with reservation desk. Amenities are overstated or don't exist. Forget cable or streaming. Gaming impossible. A vacation? 4star? There is construction next door, and our room overlooked it. Not pretty for a balcony price. They don’t tell you about the $45 daily parking, or, that only one elevator worked our entire 3 days here. The pool is unsupervised by parents or hotel, and kids are jumping and screaming all day. Not very relaxing. The help stay behind the bar and walk by without asking for orders. It seems they are short staffed and those who are here are not well trained. Most had very thick accents especially at the front desk. Difficult to understand. We had to ask to have our room made up, although we checked daily room service. It’s a nice facility but the service and staff is lacking and not very motivated.

Beautiful hotel with a great location — easy access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Edwards and more. We stayed here with two other couples and had a wonderful time. With that said, I’ve never seen so many dogs in one hotel in my life. If you’re not a dog person (or are allergic), be warned. Also, if you have a room on the 9th floor, be prepared to wait 4-5 minutes a time sometimes for the one working elevator to your floor. (Allegedly the other one has been under repair for months). Would stay here again. Can’t beat the value and location.

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have typically enjoyed it very much. This was a three night stay, booked on points. A lot of what I disliked about this stay has to do with the hotel not following the Bonvoy T&C, but I'll throw in other comments as well. The hotel is in a good location for summer and winter; this was a summer visit. I booked a one bedroom suite and then attempted to apply Marriott's SNA's to the reservation. This lets you pick from one or more room types that are presumably nicer than the one you booked. The system will start checking 5 days out and will automatically assign one of the rooms if it is available. It will keep trying up until day of check in. If the upgrade doesn't clear for one or more days, you will get an email saying 'we're still trying'; if it does clear you'll get one that confirms it; on day of check in if it doesn't clear you'll get one saying 'sorry, but we'll upgrade you at checkin if we can'. With the SNA's, I got the initial 'thanks for using your SNA's' email and then never got anything else. The three SNA's were deducted from my account but I never got any other correspondence. Every single day between when I booked and day of checkin, all of the room types that I picked were available for booking; the SNA should ahve cleared. On the plante to CO, I messaged with the hotel through the Marriott app. Someone at the front desk said they 'did not have the SNA request come through from Marriott...not sure what happened on their end...be sure to inquire on checkin...if an upgrade is available.' I'm not sure what the issue was here, but 1. Blaming Marriott is lousy customer service; the hotel and Marriott are one in the same to me and 2. The rooms were all still avaialble while I was chatting; they could have processed the upgrade and then got the SNA's later. All the while, the SNA was showing as pending on my reservation. At check in, I asked if there was an upgrade available and I was told no. FWIW, as per Marriott's T&C "Platinum Elite Members and above receive a complimentary upgrade to the best available room, subject to availability on the day of arrival, for the entire length of stay. Complimentary upgrade includes suites, rooms with desirable views, rooms on high floors, corner rooms, rooms with special amenities or rooms on Executive Floors." The desk agent said no, there are no upgrades avaialble. I said I had chatted w/ someone in the app and they were going to note the request and asked if they had done so. She responded that yes, she sees it but the hotel is at 90% capacity. I asked if there were upgrade rooms avaialble again, and she said yes but that they were not cleaned. I told her I'd wait for them to clean one, which we did. So the hotel was attempting to not honor the T&C of the program. The agent asked if we wanted the 1, 000 points welcome gift (this is worth less than $10 fwiw) or the breakfast benefit. The Marriott T&C says this about the breakfast: "1, 000 Points per Stay or amenity per Stay or breakfast in restaurant per night of Stay for Member +1 (including Resorts)". So two breakfasts per day is what we took. On Sunday, we went down to eat and were told that there is an extra $10 charge b/c they had an omlette station and there would be jazz later in the day. I let them know about the breakfast being included for free and gave them the little voucher, but the manager of the rest. said no, it is $10 more because they have the egg man and music showing up later. I talked to the front desk and they said they'd take care of it. But I saw the hotel violate the T&C several more times sitting there eating. On the final day, just my daughter and I ate breakfast. We were brought a $0.00 receipt on which I added a tip. On my folio, I see a charge for the tip as well as $73.00 for breakfast. I've been chatting with the hotel for a while via the app to try to get them to fix this and

Terrible customer service! Front desk is very rude and unaccommodating. The gentleman at the front desk made it very clear that if you book through a third party, you will treated differently. I will never book with the hotel again. I likely switch from Marriott all together after this. Maybe Hilton will be more accommodating...

It started out bad as they were unable to locate our reservation. Then, unable to accommodate our upgrade request (understandable, but no apology or explanation). The worst part was only ONE elevator was working so it took forever to get up or down to your room. Seriously waited 25 minutes on checkout day for the elevator. Unfriendly checkin staff, with no regard for customer service. Next, the bartender told us she couldn’t make a certain drink because she didn’t have the ingredients, although the ingredients were clearly in sight. She was so busy chatting with her friend, she ignored other customers. The drink she did make, was horrible! Watered down alcohol & pre-mixed mixes. It went downhill from there. Screaming kids to barking dogs! And worst yet…they’ve gone CASHLESS! They definitely lost us with that decision. Overpriced for the value received & no concern for customer satisfaction. “NO” seems to be there favorite word. We won’t be returning to this location.
