This little restaurant is possibly one of the best places I have been in Colorado. Atmosphere and food was outstanding, and the price was very reasonable. The wait staff treated us like we were something special, everyone was so nice and the food was delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough.
River and Woods is easily my favorite restaurant in Boulder right now. The experience is always amazing! The friendly staff, cozy and quaint atmosphere, and delicious entrees, have me planning my next visit back before even leaving the restaurant! I’ve been for both brunch and dinner (the trout is out of this world!). Such a gem of a spot. Highly recommend!

Felt like we were snookered when we checked out. After a very pleasant experience we checked out and added a 20% tip in the tip box provided on the bill. Nobody told us that they had already added a 20% "Fair Wage Fee" so we ended up inadvertantly tipping 40% (and, please, don't tell us we should have paid more attention to the bill - we were wrapping up an otherwise good meal and conversation). If you're going to add that so-called fee, you should tell the customer directly....read full review
