We have been going here for over 15 years. We had 2 really poor visits and decided to try one more time. This last visit was poor at best. Ordered a prime rib med-rare at it came out raw. I never send food back normally but when it has not even been cooked is a different story. The manager on duty was theone to bring it back out and this time it was BROWN. At that point the manager didnt say anyhting to me or even give any apology. My wife finished her meal and we waited for the bill and paid it in full and we left. The serve came over and asked if everything was ok since I did not eat the food and I said its fine just please bring the bill. When we were leaving the manager who bought my food back asked what happened and I said it is fine and you had your chance. The next day I felt it was important to let the GM know what ook palce so they could improve. When I spoke with him he told me he was aware and the manager already gave us a full refund. Well guess what? 4 weeks later I am writting this and NEVER did we get the refund. It's not about the money it's about the promises. In today's times going out cost more than it has nad the service has gone down in every way. Should be the other way around....charge a high amount should deliver great customer service.

Great service from the staff as always. But it seems like the quality has gone down in recent years. Had to send my prime rib back because it was chewy. They were quick to get me something else, but the replacement wasn't very good either. They also seem to be changing up the way they season and spice things. I have been eating here for over 20 years and they were always very consistent and things seem to have changed quite a bit since the pandemic.Wine bottle prices are very reasonable. Get the Alex salad and carrot cake for desert.

We stopped in for lunch and I tried the Nashville chicken. The flavor was great and so was the slaw, but it wasn't spicy at all. I'd still recommend it though. The shoestring fries that came with the sandwich were good and had some pepper on them. As with other J. Alexander sites, the place can be a bit dark. The staff was friendly and we were seated immediately.

The restaurant has changed a lot since 2020, it used to be a fun date night but is now more of a family restaurant and while there is nothing wrong with that if you are planning a fancy date night and dress up you will be disappointment with the current vibes of this restaurant. The majority of people were dressed in t-shirts and jeans, there were a lot of children everywhere. If you are a family with young children I highly recommend checking this restaurant out but this is not a date night restaurant.

This is my favorite restaurant! I would rather come here than Del Frisco's or Ruth's Chris. It's so consistently delicious and the service sets the standard for the industry. My only feedback would be to bring back cilantro shrimp!

I'm not sure how I'm just getting to J. Alexander's for the first time, but we loved it! Our two teenage boys were literally raving about the burgers for days to come...and they've eaten a lot of burgers in their lives, lol! The menu has a TON of variety, and I feel like it could suit every mood. I had the most amazing sushi roll (Mike's Filet Roll, I think!). I don't usually hit up chain restaurants much, but this was such a pleasant surprise! It felt cozy, classy, and we really enjoyed our time there!

Generally have had good experience going to J. Alexander... and two weeks ago had a Prime Rib dinner take out and it was excellent... Then on Sunday Jan. 21 ordered 2 Prime Rib Dinners and side of Mac and Cheese takeout.. Was sadly disappointed, especially having paid over $100 for two dinners, the Prime Rib was undercooked and tough and the Mac and Cheese was cold... Sent a message to J. Alexander Contact info on their web site about it but never got a response..
