The Garden section is a beautiful place to eat. The plants are so well kept. The food was so-so. Which was disappointing when considering the price an automatic 20% service charge. The chili relleno casserole came out cold in the middle, it had clearly been made refrigerated and reheated. The kitchen remade it. It was better made fresh! The cheeseburger reminded us of eating a cheeseburger at a AI resort in a different country… IYKYKThe French dip was mediocre. The meat was shredded and a bit gristly. Have had much better French dips elsewhere!

Food outstanding! Service was uneven - things not being cleared away such as a dirty napkin on the table after it was replaced, drink glass and small carafe after drink finished for some time and dinner eaten. Needed to ask for these items to be cleared. Server was pleasant, but a tad too communicative.

We had an amazing server! My husband had the onion soup which he liked. We split the large prime rib dinner. The beef was not too tender but was plentiful. The baked potato was great and the popover was amazing!!!

Took my Wife out for a kidless evening and we thoroughly enjoyed the food at La Taverne, we had the river shrimp, French onion, oysters, prime rib and chicken! So good. Can't wait to go back and try more.

Fair value for items with exception of salad and then one main entree Minimal ability to substitute for healthier fare -vegetables etc Server was pleasant , but busy and would have benefited from additional support- empty water glasses,

I really wasn't expecting the Broadmoor to automatically add a 20% tip. Generally I do tip 20% but I want to be the one making the decision. I prefer to tip cash so that my server's get the money! After eating, paying for my food and leaving I wish I had looked closer at the bill. I had a $27 sandwich, a club soda and with taxes and 20% tip my bill was $42.90. Pretty expensive sandwich. The server was great so I couldn't complain to him for the Broadmoor's gutsy policy. I simply hope they don't take a cut!

I guess this supposed to be a steak house ? Service is horrible, they have bunch of kids running around with no idea what steak house service is ! Kids are very cheerful and perky but unfortunately dirty dishes don't fly away on magic carpet of smiles. My steak and my wife's scallops arrived lukewarm, the only warm part was potato. Drinks are ok but overpriced, you can get much better meal and better service in other steakhouses in the town. This is just another letdown hotel food pantry. Never again.

Used to love this place but cannot stand the automatic 20% gratuity as our waitress was mediocre. There’s no reason for them to do a good job when they are already getting tipped 20%. I also noticed a PIF charge on the bill in which I have never seen and the waitress couldn’t adequately explain. In addition to changing their menu, I will not be back.

Very little food for a lot of $$$$. Each of the four of us had a salmon salad. My wife had coffee, the other three had water. The bill was $176+!! The Broadmoor is obviously a classy place , but really that much for a small lunch. Won't be going there again.

Had the oysters, the scallops orange and the wagyu beef. Excellent execution and flavor. courteous service, props to Guillermo for taking our picture in a beautiful venue. #1 steakhouse in the springs.

Definitely ask for the solarium/conservatory room. It is picturesque. Reminded me of Aunt Polly's conservatory in the movie Pollyanna. Gorgeous plants, quiet and nicely lit. Not too dark and not too light. The service is outstanding and the food is so amazing, there really are no words. We had the crab bisque, prime rib and the Berkshire pork chop. They have some really delicious mocktails, the dirty martini is also super smooth. Highly recommend for a lovely date night.

Don't get me wrong. The food was incredible. I was wondering, though, when exactly did a lousy cut of steak ( hanger steak) and fries become fine dining? It's laughable. At least offer a decent cut of steak. Honestly, it was uncut fajita meat over mayonnaise and French fries. Over $300 for the two of us folks. But weirdly, we will probably do it again. The live music was great, not intrusive, at the appropriate sound level for conversation to happen, and did not include a single instance of Tom Petty's "Free Fallin." The city is full of amazing chefs and amazing food. Unfortunately, a few are somehow enamored with the poor choice of hanger steak. I honestly believe it is because of the huge upcharge on the cut. $70 for a $3 cut of meat. Go for the atmosphere. You'll not be sorry.
