Awesome service. We needed to be in and out in less than an hour, and they delivered! Amazing sushi (the McLaren roll seemed weird, but was the most sinfully amazing thing I've ever had! Bacon, in sushi? Yet it worked). We got complimentary miso soup, and were able to seat us very quickly (adding to their service). I cannot recommend this place enough. They are well known for their sushi rolls to go with every state, and they are devine. I am planning on coming back as soon as possible!Vegetarian options: It's sushi, so fish, and this pescatarian friendly. Still seems very vegetarian friendly, even though that is not my concern

The husband and I tried this place for V-Day and got to enjoy a delicious meal! He got one of the bento boxes, and for a large man, he was full before he even finished it! That's a bonus for me, so I don't have to feed him more when we get home! The Chicken Katsu was delicious! We were so invested in our plates in front of us that we never even got to try what each other ordered. The staff was attentive and on point. It made for a wonderful Valentine's Day, and we will be back!

Wow! Yoo Mae far surpassed our expectations!! From the salads, to the gyozas...onto the rolls!! Amazing! My top favorites are the Alabama & the Colorado. Highly recommend! We'll be back the next time we are in town!! No pic, because we cleared the platters!!

The sushi was not fresh. There were cracks in the first, discoloration and some areas were so dried out it was rubbery. I won't eat there again and advise you to look elsewhere. Gross!

I was hesitant to try this place for several reasons. Initially, the menu is very very large. It also included sushi for all 52 states which was odd. The entrance and front of restaurant was very cheesy. Upon entering I would agree with other reviews about needing to spruce up the place. We were greeted by a nice young gentleman and it appeared that the 3 of us were the only people there on a Saturday at 5:30 pm., including the server. The sushi bar was not an option nor conducive for seating as they took two chairs and spaced them on each end. We sat at a table of our choice and our drink order was taken. They had excellent Sake however they only had one white and red wine selection and the white wine was not very good. I ended up trying my husbands Sake and actually preferred it. For once a Sake that did not smell like old socks! Our server was Andrew, a quirky, wiry young man who enjoyed his job. He was very attentive and descriptive about the menu. We started with Edamame and the a Kansas roll and Eel Nigiri. While waiting, Andrew asked if we'd like a complimentary bowl of Miso soup. The thought was nice but the soup was average in flavor. The Kansas roll had large serving of tuna coupled with salmon which I found generous. The eel was served warm and delicious. (The sushi chef appeared from the back somewhere to make these. ) We added more Eel and a crunch roll and found it to be delicious. The bill was not overly expensive and the food was great, service was exceptional and the decor needed a refresh.

Yoo Mae is a perfect little sushi place. I've been here quite a few times over the years and every time I've had a great experience. There's something for everyone here, even if you don't normally eat sushi.

Kind of a hole in the wall place in downtown Colorado Springs. It was quiet there, as we came in for an early dinner. The server was knowledgeable and quick. The food was great too.
