Had lunch at a downtown Denver spot. Service and drinks were great, but the food was hit or miss. Mistakenly ordered a dish that was only fat and no meat, then a small but tasty filet. The vibe was casual, which I liked, but felt the prices were too high for the experience. Spent over $100 and left feeling not quite satisfied. Decent place, but won't return due to the cost.

I came here for lunch back in Nov ‘23. First thing I will say is that it is very expensive, at least for me. I had only gotten the Lobster Roll and a glass of water and it costed me a little over $50. Very delicious and I really enjoyed it, but a lot of money for what it is. I guess being in a very mountainous state will affect the price of seafood, unfortunately. Didn’t get offered a refill (sucks when you’re pregnant and thirsty) and when my check came, the guy then informed me they automatically put a gratuity charge on it, which is fine but would’ve been nice to know about it. I then also tipped the guy on top of that because I didn’t want to seem rude and I understand people gotta make money. That was already almost $20 by itself, which I think is a little ridiculous, to be honest. I know it’s partially on me but ehhhhhh. In the end, food was great but service needs to be worked on.

This locally owned upscale American restaurant is a definite go-to if you are a tourist wanting to try local food. We had the Forgeage mushroom pasta that was fresh and light with mouthing watering flavors. We also order the bison burger and we are still craving it even after our dinner. Prices are reasonable for the quality. The host as well as the sever were very accommodating and friendly during our whole stay. I would recommend Appaloosa Grill to locals and people visiting who want local food that is reasonable and great quality!
The food was delicious! The service was not so great. Morgan gave us one napkin to share. Never any utensils with our meal. Short, unegaged visits. The busser earned more.

Got the ribeye and didn't taste nearly good enough to justify the cost. Good steak, but for $50 something it needs to be great. Garlic butter & green beans were very good though, and the service was great.

Food was relatively good for the price. But the service was disturbing. Examples: waiter tries to pour the wine, and a lot ends up on the table. Busboy repeatedly drops silverware while clearing tables. Server taking half eaten appetizer plates away without asking. In most places bad service means no service. Here, bad service means servers who just don't know what they are doing. Sigh.
