I hadn't been to La Fogata in a number of years but remembered it as a good restaurant with a nice atmosphere. A very special friend and I went on a whim and I want to say right off the bat that my memory was way off. Our experience wasn't good or nice, it was excellent. More than excellent. Have been going there regularly for the 34 years that they have been open. May not be for everyone but I love it ( good food and good service ) in fact they still make my favorite dish from their old menu for me even though it is not on the current menu! Can't think of any other restaurant that would do that -- better than great service !

Food was good, green chili not hot at all. The service is hard to explain. They were polite and nice but at the same time they rush you out . They were hovering over us the whole time. They took our plates so fast some of us weren't even finished.
