But what makes it special is also the service! The servers are so kind and remind me of the super hospitable people I met while living in Buriram and Chon Buri. “My delivery driver got stuck in my elevator for 30 min (Wayne) and he handled it so gracefully. I called the fire dept for him but he was calm and kind the whole time. I felt horrible but what amazing customer service! Wayne really handled a stressful situation the best way possible. I have ordered here forever, and wlll continue to bc of him. “We got Spicy Tatsu and Tan Tan Ramen, gyoza, and a California Roll. The Tatsu is exceptional and I guzzled about all of the broth down. It has chasu (pork belly) and chicken, bamboo strips, marinated egg, bok choy, and seaweed. The Tan Tan has a spicy peanut broth with ground chicken. We’ve had the Tonkatsu and Miso on other occasions and I recall liking all of them. The restaurant is pleasant and staff is attentive and kind. They often have sporting events on their three TVs, so we got to watch some World Cup this evening, which was great.“

“My friend and I went here for Valentine's Day. We hadn't made plans because we weren't celebrating the holiday, so we had no reservations. The place was packed. The hosts were busy coordinating reservations that went as late as past 11 pm, as they were open until midnight. They were kind in their greeting and offered us space at the bar, if we could find it. We couldn't. As the wait time was over an hour and a half, we left to go somewhere else but decided to return a little later to check back at the bar. We found some seats that had just been cleared, so we saddled up for a chill time with chopsticks and great ambiance. We were greeted by the friendliest, most energetic bartender I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with while dining out, much less when a place is that busy. She had a smile for miles as she walked us through bar suggestions featuring her alcohol favorites. The reason we rallied to try again at Hapa was that my friend has a serious gluten issue with his severe celiac disease and has never had a problem with their dedicated menu. The gluten-free menu is extensive for such a specialized diet, automatically paired with their gluten-free soy sauce. Since we were sharing our samplings of sushi, sashime, salad, and sake, I went ahead and ordered from that menu as well. I didn't taste any difference in my experience. Our servings were well-timed with salad, main dishes, accompanying sake and wine... and, again, our awesome bartender sharing company with us, a truly gifted gal of service. If I tried to recommend this place more, I'd sound silly. That said, thank you for one of the best Valentine's Day, un-Valentines evenings I've ever had! We left happy with our choice for the night and full in our bellies!“

“I've been here twice and so far the food has been amazing. I usually get salmon sashimi and a California roll. The quality of the sashimi is very good. The sushi rice is perfectly flavored. The atmosphere is more relaxed with interesting detailing on the walls. One thing that surprised me was how huge and clean the bathroom was. I really appreciated that.
My only complaint so far (and a big one, to me) is one of the servers. Both times I've eaten here, while she hasn't stared directly, it's clear she's watching you like a hawk! Typically I'd understand this, it's part of the job. But it felt like I was pressured to make a choice, eat my food, and leave. I took a friend the second time, and while unspoken, I didn't feel welcome to relax and enjoy our meal. Were they busy and needing to clear tables? No. Both times I've gone I was one of two, maybe three tables that were full. While I love the food, the feeling of constantly being watched has been so off-putting I'm hesitant to return.“

What We Tried & Loved:
Carne Asada Loaded Nachos – Perfectly crispy tortilla chips piled with tender steak, gooey cheese, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Total crowd-pleaser!

Chicken Flautas – These rolled tacos served in a cup were genius for a night at the bar, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, and Cotija cheese.

Traditional Carnita Tacos – The street taco dream! Tender carnitas, cilantro, pickled red onions, and a salsa so good I wanted to take some home.

The combination of fantastic food, creative drinks, and lively ambiance makes Con Safos a place I’ll definitely return to. Highly recommend!“

“Decent spot for relatively affordable sushi and other Japanese food! They have great lunch special deals.

Their sushi quality was quite good. The curry chicken katsu was super tender, yummy, and HUGE. I didn’t love their sushi roll selection—most seem very “Americanized” with cream cheese, deep fried, lots of kani etc. So to me, the rolls selection that I’d like to eat was quite limited. That being said, the ones we ordered (surf & turf and ocean garden) were both delicious.

“I came for the ramen because they make their broth in house as well as their noodles and after trying many other Denver ramen spots, so far the Shirayuki ramen is the best ramen I’ve had outside of Japan. The broth is insanely flavor and has a deep level of richness and texture. It’s perfect. The noodles are to die for IMO - hand pulled and the perfect size and consistency. Honestly I’m not sure what to fault this ramen on other than I want more.

The sushi is pretty good too but not amaaaazing. For the price though it’s an incredible value! Would (and have) already returned. And will likely keep coming back.

They also have some Japanese beers which I always enjoy.

I also wanna say their menus are really nice. 1 big 2 sided laminated page with a color menu. Super nice touch!

Staff is super friendly and welcoming and the decor as you walk in is inviting.

My ONLY complaint is there’s a weird sewage or garbage smell on the outside patio that’s quite off putting. We wanted to sit outside our 2nd time there but had to move indoors to not ruin our appetite.

But the ramen slaps and is my favorite in Denver so far 👌“

I come around probably once a week since I live nearby, so I can walk home after enjoying a small bottle of sake.
Today I tired the hand rolls and was shocked by the sheer size and how absolutely stuffed they were! Also, the sake nigiri pieces are larger than life and I am obsessed with their umami red snapper and the beautiful presentation of the amaebi, sweet shrimp. I always get multiple orders of ikura and leave stuffed!
