“Carver’s is reliably good. Lots of great selections on both food and drink, and the people who work there are awesome at their jobs. Outdoor seating is particularly nice.”
“If you ever have the opportunity to visit Perbacco be prepared for the most amazing experience! After a long morning of sight seeing we stopped in for what we thought would be a quick slice of pizza. We ended up staying hours! The owner, Paolo, is THE KINDEST man! He brought us into the kitchen to show us how to make pizza, brought out different kinds and had us join his family at their table. We had the best conversation with he and his daughter. The Bianca pizza is to die for. I wish we could travel back to Copenhagen just for this pizza. He also taught us about the slow rise and high quality grains are easier in digestion. I was shocked this pizza did not hurt my stomach. Long overdue post but so grateful for THE highlight of our Denmark trip being this completely unplanned, amazing experience at Perbacco! Thank you Paolo.”

“The Roost has excellent and welcoming staff, great drinks, delicious food, and a really cool atmosphere!”

“Very nice upscale restaurant. Best meal I've had this year in Durango. Elk tenderloin and the trout were exceptional. Sea bass is also exceptional. Service was good. They now take reservations from the general public.”
“Spicy tuna rolls are unmatched. So fresh. Mo is always a friendly face! They consistently have great customer service, excellent quality food and our orders are always correct. 5+ stars”

Great hire on him very well mannered ( yes ma'am and yes sir) I know personally good employees are hard to find and he's a good one!! The food was outstanding!! Highly recommend this place. We even visited the store and purchased apples, plums & peaches ❤️”

“Everything is delicious, but the Kathmandu Sekuwa is out of this world. I've been working my way through the menu to find what dish is responsible for that irresponsible aroma wafting into the streets. It's the Kathmandu Sekuwa, and it tastes as good as it smells. Excellent food, wonderful service and atmosphere. Highly recommend.”
“Yummy fresh sushi in Durango for the win!! So happy I finally got a chance to try Pop Sushi!”

“We split the El Moro Burger and fries and we asked for the burger to be cooked medium. The burger was a little undercooked. The burger was seasoned nicely. The fries were done well ahead of the burger and they were barely lukewarm. We received excellent service from the two young gals working the tables in the bar area. We walked 4 blocks from our hotel to the restaurant. I didn’t see their own parking lot.
Note:
1. They automatically add a 20% tip to the bill. We almost always tip 20% for descent service. The servers missed out on a higher tip because I was taken back by their policy.
2. I ordered a Sprite and got a refill. I was not told there is no free refills and I did not see this on the menu. I was charge $8 for two Sprites. This added to me not leaving a larger tip. The servers lose out because of questionable policies.
3. I evaluated the food, service and atmosphere on their own merits and these issues did not impact the rating I gave.”
“We stumbled upon this place when the place we had picked out was actually busy. The atmosphere is fantastic. Brick walls. Offset lighting. Fantastic ambience.
Serving staff was extremely professional. We had a serve by the name of Nick. But as we looked around the restaurant and noticed their entire staff and Chef crew in the back that you can see from your table are very professional. Very unique for a tourist town.
We chose the Chimayo bread for an appetizer. It was fantastic. Way better than Texas roadhouse dinner rolls with a very unique butter/honey Spread.
My wife shows the cauliflower steak. Extremely well prepared. Cauliflower was a 1 inch stick slice of cauliflower with roasted cherry tomatoes, zucchini, wedge, tomatoes, shaved Parmesan, and a very nice light seasoned sauce on top. Fantastic.
I chose the flatbread steak sandwich because of the reviews and the recommendation by the server. It was also fantastic. Made with their pizza dough. Stuffed with roasted bell pepper, onions, mushrooms, steak and a very nice sauce. Like a calzone except that the bread wasn't closed over. It was fantastic. .”
“Very flavorful Mexican cuisine and great service. We stopped at Nayarit Restaurant while traveling, so we aren't locals and didn't know what to expect. The Mahi tacos were fabulous, as was the pablano meal. Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is located at an end of a strip mall, so is somewhat basic, but it was clean and had some interesting artwork on the walls and some patio seating. We will return when back in Durango.”
“Great food and service ! A very kind soul paid for our food so we didn't have much cash to tip... I hope the person who paid for our meal, tipped enough for our waitor since we had different waitors. Thank you for the person who paid it forward and to a great waitor !”

“Run by an amazing crew Chalkboard kitchen is such a hidden Gem. They’ve been in their current location behind Anarchy Brewing in a small food truck for over three years and I can’t believe I just tried it. Their food is amazing… seriously one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!!”
“Offrez-vous une parenthèse de pur bonheur et de simplicité. Michel est un être bienveillant et adorable et ses crêpes sont un régal pour les Papilles. Franchement prenez le temps d'une pause chez Michel's corner crêpes À découvrir absolument. Nous, nous avons adoré 👍. Au plaisir de vous recroiser un jour. #crêpes #Durango #Colorado #délice #pause #EtatsUnis #vacances #convivial #familial #qualité #parenthèse”
“Best restaurant in the USA. Very good value for money (less than 40 dollars at 4). Very good. Good portions and yet I am a good eater (2 kebabs in France). Welcoming, smiling and very helpful staff. From the outside it doesn't look much, but you can go there with your eyes closed.”
“We happened upon this place while traveling through Durango. What a gem in the picturesque downtown area! The food was outstanding. We tried The Italian which was so flavorful with just enough heat without overpowering your taste buds. The Reuben was also delicious and just the right level of messy. The best part was meeting co-owner Colin, a fellow KC Chiefs fan! If you're in Durango and looking for good eats and a Chiefs Kingdom-friendly spot, this is the place! Thank you Colin!! #ChiefsKingdom”
“I cannot recommend this place enough! Tastiest waffles I’ve ever had! :) Spent a week here in Purgatory and probably visited T’s Waffle Cabin about four times haha! So good!”

“I started eating here few years back when I had no washer/Dryer...was okay but nothing really caught my taste buds..and got washer and dryer since then..but recently met my niece/boyfriend for BF..
Omg!! My favorite is the Bacon Potatoes etc burrito 🌯!!! Along with Mountain Mango 🥭 😋..
Went 2x within 3weeks because that Burrito is excellent and cooked properly each time I've ordered it..
The Ridge has become a favorite and back on the list
.and it's 30min away from me ..well worth the trip !!”
“Great beer, attentive bartenders, food is home cooked and priced right! a very relaxed local atmosphere.”
“Johnny and team provide an excellent take away option for all 3 meals daily. Not to mention he’s totally kind, makes an effort to welcome and get to know us regulars on this side of town. The breakfast burritos are the best in town, and the pizza and wings are far better than the nearby options both quality and cost wise. Sorry for your recent loss roadhouse, this was devastating to hear.”

“Bread is all around incredible!!! Kyra, at the north location, designed and made us the most beautiful wedding cake. It was equally delicious and beautiful. And the team at the downtown location made my aunt in Seattle's dreams come true by cheerily delivering pastries to the salon where I got my hair and makeup done the morning of my wedding while she was a million miles away. They're incredible people and make incredible goodies. I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you for making my most special day perfect!!”
“Delicious food!!!! Everything from the chicken on a stick to the sampler meat platter, coleslaw, red beans and rice and cornbread was amazing. The spiciness was perfect 😍 we have lived in Durango for two years and just discovered this place today. We will be back!!!”
“The soft tacos and quesadillas are absolutely fantastic, and the margaritas are top-notch! They use a homemade lime mix, not an overly sweet premade one, which makes all the difference. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I’m so glad we discovered this place—it’s definitely going to be a regular spot for us!”

“What a great evening,we had awesome appetizers, wings and Chicken nachos. Great margaritas and ice cold beer!! They had Dave Mensch performing and the service was top notch!! I highly recommend it. The owner came by and talked to us and thanked us for coming in. That’s how you know you are in the right place. What a great guy!!I cannot wait till this summer to sit on the deck and have some great food and some cold beers!! We will be back soon!! Thank you so much, Chad Shelton, Chase Shelton, Laura Shelton.”
“Hands down, best fish n chips in 4 states! No question. Chef Brian rules! 7/12/2025”
“My absolute favorite bar I love all the bartenders. I’ve been a local for over five years and I recommend this bar to everyone. You could tell the people that don’t like it do not have proper bar etiquette.”
“Saw this restaurant in google maps, good looked good and it was indeed delicious. Service is great, you don’t have to ask for refills as the waiter is ready to serve you more, will come again and would recommend anyone to come and enjoy the fresh food, options for gluten free and healthy options as well. The parking in this snowy weather is clear of snow. Should have an easy way in and out. WiFi is available.”
“We had quite a wait here but the food and service were good. The bbq sauce reminded me of being in New Orleans. It was worth a stop here. Very cute establishment.”

“Our server was Jazz, someone who my wife and I request by name. She's very attentive, and polite, and she treats my wife I very well! Give it up for Jazz! Keep up the good work”
“Great experience last night dining at the mahogany Grille. Service was outstanding, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was relaxed.”
“I think that people who give this place one star reviews have overly high expectations. This is not a San Francisco, New York, Chicago or big city restaurant. There are very limited options for dining at Purgatory and they suffer from the lack of labor and inconsistent patronage patterns. You have Purgy's, Nugget, Olde Schoolhouse and Paradise. Let me know if I missed anyone. I eat at Paradise once a year and like that they still are in business. I give them one star for being open, one star for doing table service instead of counter service and one star for a very nice patio and an additional star just to counter the one star reviews. I always order pizza and the middle is always soft, some might say soggy, but most of it is good. I suggest that Paradise copy the pizza process from Olde Schoolhouse which is much better. They also have a good beer menu, but unfortunately there were out of many of them at my last visit.”

“Our family all really enjoyed our evening spent here. We were a party of 10. Ages ranging from 5-66. There were plenty of areas for the kids to enjoy, as well as for the adult's. Arrive early to try and enjoy some of the other entertainment. We (as adults)loved panning for gold with the kids. The train (yes, had to pay a small fee) the kiddos loved it. The food was great. We all had the combo plate. Everyone, actually agreed we liked the chicken the best (didn't try the steak). It was my 2nd time there and didn't disappoint. Definitely a great attraction. Show was great! Also, nice to see the performer's and talk with them after the show.”

“First place I went to while visiting Durango and lemme just say how DELICIOUS the food was. good lord. I’m not a big meat person so I was already a bit judge mental but not only did the food convince me but also the service. I’m not sure of his name but he was super friendly and his service went beyond my expectations. I live to visit places that aren’t a huge franchise and this place was the best choice. Wish there was one in Albuquerque!”
