“This hotel feels like a great piece of history & has lots to explore. The rooms are all named after historical figures that were part of the town. It feels very 'old Western' & the saloon is a great place to listen to live music (every night), plus the food is hearty. Staff were really friendly & helpful.“
“We had an incredible meal here on a trip to Durango. It was a late lunch, early dinner and we were reluctant at first because the location wasn't downtown. SO glad we stopped. We had an excellent meal and haven't stopped talking about it ---- and it's been months. We have recommended to friends and all have come back with similar glowing reviews. Save room for dessert!Parking: Strip mall“
“Nice little spot next to a park and in town. Dog accommodating. My dog and I sat at little tables outside, and the weight staff was more than attentive to our needs. Had the fish and chips and a nice dark beer and enjoy the sunshine. What more can you want.“
“Just finished a spectacular meal at Moose and Squirrel! Highly recommend you put this on your list of places to eat while in and around Purgatory Ski Resort. We ate with six adults and six children and try just about everything on the menu. There wasn’t one person that was disappointed with their meal. Highlights included the beet salad and charcuterie board as starters… for entrees you can’t go wrong with the Hatch Green Chile or Miso Salad. Kids enjoyed the pizza, hamburgers and pasta. The bar is serving great cocktails so definitely check out the bar menu! We really enjoyed the old fashions! Definitely give this place a try!“
