“Rice Monkey is a fantastic place to eat in Durango. The staff is always welcoming and professional. We haven't tried the sushi yet, mostly because we love the Phō. Their rice bowls are really delicious as well. The only problem is that it's a tight space, so it's usually packed. If you go at an off lunch or supper time you won't be disappointed. ?”
“Francesco and his assistant took excellent care of us and made our evening of dining so enjoyable. We had the beet salad, octopus , branzino and king salmon and the Porto and cannoli to finish. All delicious. We are so lucky to have this family in our small town.”
“Great spot in downtown Durango. We stopped in on a Saturday night on our way through town. Had a short wait for a table, service was great. I had the pulled pork chimichanga, which was out of this world. Hubby had the cod entrée, which he really enjoyed.”
“Our best restaurant experience in Durango for creative and delicious selections. This restaurant would receive high marks in any city in the US for fine dining. We should return to Durango very soon just to dine at Primus.”
“I liked this restaurant. It had a good atmosphere. I didn't get any "weird owner" vibes like other reviewers. We went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. We really enjoyed the acorn fondue and decided to start making a variation of this at home. It's a great idea! We also took the recommendation of others and had the mushroom pizza, which was really delicious. They had a good wine list, but no decanters. If you have bottles in the $100 range, it would be good to have a few around. Otherwise, I'd go back for the pizza and a glass of wine any day!”
“Stopped by for a flight of beers after a tattoo session at #yourfleshtattoo . Amazing beers, amazing atmosphere, very four legged friendly. I'd like to be able to come over when they have a band... because... from what I've heard....”
“Tasty food at a great price! I highly recommend the lunch specials, they're a really good value. The naan, chicken curry, and salad were great! The gulab jamun could be better, but at that price I'm not complaining. The pot of chai was delicious too, but keep in mind it comes sweetened. I would definitely go back next time I visit Durango.”
“We ordered the Bulgogi and the Lamb burger and both were delicious. The Bulgogi was our waiters recommendation and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was great and we did not wait at all for our table.”
“We were headed through Durango and stopped because of the other reviews. We were not disappointed! Portions were huge- we split and still had left overs for our dog. Really unique loaded hash- with carnitas. It was amazing!”

“Beautiful little bakery in this gorgeous quaint town. I was intrigued by the piano music I heard while walking down the street so I popped my head in and was enamored with the entire atmosphere. A live pianist, beautiful and delicious pastries, and excellent customer service. I had already eaten breakfast so I decided to just get a couple of pastries and a few macaroons. All were delicious and at a good price. I will definitely be returning!”
“One of the best Italian restaurants in Durango! We have been here many times and will always come back! They don’t take reservations most of the time and it’s a wait most of the time. They have indoor and outdoor seating in the warmer moths. Once you get a table you go up to the counter and order. It depends how fast the food and drinks come out on how busy it is. The food is great, they don’t have too big of a menu but have classic pasta dishes, great appetizers and a variety of desserts in a case up by the counter. I would definitely recommend this place!Parking: They have a sorta parking lot behind the building, and street parking around which is free after 6:30Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly with kids menu”
“This was the best experience from a coffee shop I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t catch the ladies name, but she suggested something she created for the season- the snowball. This coffee is perfect along with a good chat with her. Def stop by for your morning caffeine!”
“Great late night spot for sushi... And by late night, I mean like 9pm, but still, it's a lovely selection of well made and reasonably priced sushi and related fare.”
“My wife and I are in full panic. Natural Grocers in Grand Junction is discontinuing Desert Sun coffees. Your Sumatra is the No. 1 reason for us to set foot in Natural Grocers. I feel like one of the people who jogged through the desert with Forrest Gump until he decided to return home. “Now what are we supposed to do?” When we found your Sumatra, we stopped searching for a roast that is perfect for us. Please start a relationship with another GJ retailer. Thanks!”
“I have come to Jean Pierre's for years. And this particular time, I was wondering if they changed management. Previously, there had always been an amazing assortment of pastries. This particular experience puzzled me because the pastries were mostly macaroons & croissants. We stayed for breakfast and again faced disappointment. We ordered french toast and eggs benedict. The Maple syrup was not Maple syrup. It was corn syrup with coloring. And the substitutes for the expent we're limited. I had hoped that they had simple avocado on the side, nope. Anyway, you may think that I'm picky with my review. Bit the best thing about Jean Pierre's is the Ambience!”
“The food is amazing, the drinks are great and the service is up to par! ?️♀️oh and the view!!! We enjoyed our steak and pasta dinner. This is a great restaurant!”
“Great service and hospitality. Their beer is cold and garlic knots and pizza is good, but decided to get the chicken wings this time and they were pretty soggy, better options in town.”
“First and foremost, our server stony was fabulous!!! He made up for the fact that we were basically seated in the kitchen and then told most of the tables we could've had were reserved for large prom parties. Food was fabulous and served piping hot. My tuna was a bit dry but the vegetables it was served with helped. The chef did forget to serve my dish with the polenta but our server brought it out later. The restaurant is a bit pricey but overall a good experience. We will be back.”
“Prices were a little high but the food and choices of sauce were great!Parking: Far from the facilityKid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Not really for wheels .. Several stairs”
“GREAT EMPLOYEES. GREAT BACK OF HOUSE. GREAT VIEWS. WHATS NOT TO LIKE. THE MANAGER NIKKO IS AS COOL AS THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PILLOW. FIRST CLASS SERVICE. THANK YOU.”
“We love coming to highway 3 for raw oysters and a unique menu you can’t compare to anywhere else in town. Love the relaxed atmosphere and service is always great. Just wish they were open all week long!”
“I have been coming here for awhile now. Every time I'm in durango. I always wanna eat here even when other don't. I love their happy hour prices and the amazing service every time. We sometimes bring the whole family and WOW I couldn't ask for more. Can wait to go again.”
“My original review was mid, but we've been coming here periodically for years and the quality of food, beer, and customer service has gradually improved to the point where this is one of our favorite places. The Class VI IPA is excellent, and the pasties (pass-tees) are delicious, like a calzone or fancy hot pocket.”
“Bartender was very nice and polite. Crab cakes had too much breading or stuffing. Needed more crab meat. However, the service made up for it. Nice and quiet when I was there!!!!”
“A fine dining experience right on Main Street in Durango. We arrived at 5 pm and were seated promptly without a reservation. Our server was very attentive throughout the meal, and the manager also checked on us as well as the other patrons.I had the elk tenderloin with cherry demi sauce, and it was phenomenal. It was served with a small sweet potato and mixed vegetables. One friend had a surf and turf, and another had a steak. Everyone enjoyed their main course. However, one friend was not satisfied with her loaded potato. She said it was cold, and when she added additional butter, it didn't melt because of it being cold. For dessert, we had a cheesecake that was creamy and delicious and the toffee cake. It had a beautiful presentation with warm toffee, vanilla ice cream, and whip cream. The cake was not my favorite, but overall, we enjoyed our dining experience.”
“American fusion bistro! I got a great slab of perfectly done prime rib for an amazing price. My wife ordered salmon baked on a cedar slab. Both were excellent. We started off with a lemon/tropical chello(sp?)served in a sugar-rimmed martini glass.Appetizers, a beef lettuce wraps with fried rice noodles and red head chicken wings with gorgonzola dressing.A glass of white wine, and creme brulee with coffee to finish up.Excellent service and food!”
