“We had such a lovely time at Spuntino. The service was excellent and all of the food was delicious. We ordered the Capellini Aglio e Olio and the Lasagna. Both had an Indian spice flavor to them which was great. Ordered the Arancini as well which were very good and they were even kind enough to bring us an order of Focaccia on the house because “it’s just too good to pass up”. They were right! Will definitely be back.“

“Great pizza spot! Lots of choices and all are fantastic. Good vibe on the inside, but the service was not good at all. I’m not one to write bad reviews, but Marco gave us awful service. He was not attentive and didn’t really have a good attitude. We had to constantly remind him for refills, boxes, and he would take his time coming back to check on us. Everything was 10/10! Would be back.“

“Voghera Ristorante & Apericena is the only place in Denver where my husband & I can reexperience the kind of dining we enjoyed—no, loved—throughout northern Italy, in Milan and in the Piemonte wine region last year. Once again, last night we thoroughly appreciated the menu choices (many more choices than other restaurants offer during Denver Restaurant Week), the presentation of our selections, the amount of food provided in each course (more than ample), the timing (appropriate brief pauses between courses to digest, enjoy our wine, and anticipate the next course), the professional service provided by our server, the food runner/presenter (the owner with his energetic demeanor and Italian accent!), and prompt clearing of used items by a third person. Where else in Denver, at this price point, does your server bring an arranged tray of silverware to your table to replace any you have used or to provide you with the correct knife for your main course? We were thrilled with our wine choice—an Arneis from Piemonte—that complemented our meal selections perfectly. If you have traveled to places where food is treated with respect, you know the joy of experiencing the terroir of the area you are in. We feel this is what owner Marco & his team are providing to us in Denver. I would like to suggest that people who choose to come to this restaurant try to adopt an attitude of dining & savoring rather than just eating & drinking. Four at a table in our lovely back dining room were loud and raucous as would be appropriate in a sports bar but not in this setting. Their behavior affected the dining experiences of everyone else in the room. If you allow a dining experience here to transport you to northern Italy, you will feel the price is more than worth it.“

“Coperta was exceptional in every way. The Restaurant Week menu was creative and absolutely delicious. One of the best Ragu/Bolognese dishes I have ever had. Our server was wonderful, attentive and so knowledgeable. And the ambience. Truly felt like we were in a wonderful trattoria in a village in Italy. What a wonderful evening, in so many ways!“

“Danni was the perfect server! I am the adventurous type, and so much on the menu looked amazing! I asked Danni to choose for me and make it a surprise and I was NOT disappointed. The sauces were rich but light, house brewed wise exquisite, and the Tiramisu was delectable. “One of the best dining experiences I have had in Denver. The bartender Melody made phenomenal drinks. Food was delicious. The potato gnocchi might have been the best thing I’ve ever eaten. “Traveling for work, I found myself in wheat-ridge for 6 months. I was craving some sliced Italian deli meats and some Italian sweets and found this place nearby according to google. Omg I found heaven!Sliced my meat for me while I picked out some cannoli and pizzelle. Calabrisi was spicy good! I’ve since moved again but while I lived in wheat-ridge, I visited this place every two weeks.“

“What a gem! We arrived on a Monday evening (7:30PM ish) and was quoted a 30 min wait, but was seated no more than 15 mins later! This is definitely the best dining experience I’ve had in Denver. Coming from the east coast, I haven’t found an Italian spot that I loved until Dio Mio. From the handmade pasta to the service that makes you feel like family, I can’t recommend this place enough. Everything was thoughtfully made and plated. Of the many dishes, the lasagna, squid ink pasta, & pork stole the show for us. Overall, you can’t go wrong here. We will definitely be back! ?“

“Gargaro’s is an awesome no frills old school Italian bakery and sandwich shop. The sub sandwiches are huge, especially for the price. If you get the grinder be sure to add capicola for a little extra! All of the breads, pastries and cookies are amazing. They also have an assortment of freshly made pastas, sauce, sausage, pizza dough, sausage and pepper cannolis, cream filled cannolis. This place is legit!“

“We came here for a quick bite as a group and we really enjoyed it. The staff is super helpful and friendly. We ended up sitting outside (it is a first-come-first-serve) and the staff was really helpful to set us up with the heaters and made sure we are taken care of.We ordered a variety of pizzas and really not a single one of them disappointed. The combos might sound crazy and unusual but they really work so i'd encourage anyone to try.We also ordered a few of the oysters and we loved them. They have a variety of types there and will make sure to run your through them. We really enjoyed all of them and the team was divided on favorites.Would definitely come back for more bites!“

“I’m highly impressed with my whole experience dining in last night! Their service was amazing and they had multiple servers checking in with us at the bar while we were waiting to be seated. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS. We had the burrata, seasonal pizza with hot honey and prosciutto, and braised short rib lumache. Their drinks were also exquisite. They made the experience very luxurious and it’s now one of my favorite restaurants.“

“I was in Lakewood for a visit, saw the sign and thought, "I wonder if that's the same place that we practically lived in, 48 years ago? " I was expecting our son, and their spaghetti & meatballs was the only thing that I consistently craved. Much to my delight, it is!! Fabulous salad, complete with the shredded provolone and truly perfect bread. But the moment I had the pasta, it brought me right back! The sauce is still rich, so flavorful and the traditional thick, yet tender noodles make it near perfect! Also, the same generous portions. No "shrink-flation" here.Thank you for the trip down memory lane. We've been gone from the area since 1984, and don't visit much. This will draw us back more often.Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the friendly and attentive servers and host. “This is my favorite local bar, and the bartender has the best customer service. Food is great for a good price, and overall this bar and the regulars that frequent this spot have become a second family. I was here on Wednesday night, the night in which Jesse G wrote a one star review about; and he was screaming in the bartenders face. And definitely left out some major details about the interaction. As I frequent this place often I know the rules for drinks in a bar; and upgrading from a soda to a beer; regardless if you're in a pool league or not, isn't a possibility. You order a drink and are then able to get that same drink a second time for free. So no, not on any bar on earth would a bartender give you a free beer, which is what he was asking for, in exchange for buying a soda. Secondly, what bar have you ever gone to where you don't have to put a card down to start a tab for $7.00 tacos TO LEAVE OPEN, or close out your tab immediately. And then he literally screamed in her face at the bar. Before you critique or criticize someone take a look at what role you played in the whole interaction. Which was completely inappropriate and unnecessary. I'm not sure where he's been going out to drink, but I'd say that the rules for starting a tab and bogo drinks are pretty universal. Don't let his review scare you away, Tedz is definitely the place to be.“

“Wow! Who knew there was such an authentic Italian venue in Denver. Homemade artisan pasta with creative sauces and entrees. Try the bolognese as it is one of a kind. The wood-fired pizza reminded us of what we had in Venice, IT! The bar and wine list is loaded with special finds. My wife found the Paloma cocktail to be fabulous. I got the eggplant parm with spaghetti, I saw online that it came with red pepper flakes and I’m a wimp that can’t do spicy foods, so I asked and they said they could leave it off, it was absolutely delicious! Brought the ricotta cookies home to my family and they were a huge hit! Would definitely come back to try more of their menu. Really great option for casual but good quality Italian.“

“If you walked into this place, it doesn't seem like you would get a good meal at all but boy does the food make up for the lack of ambiance. We loved having our house salad, which was perfectly coated with dressing, served in a chilled bowl. The drinks were not watered down and at a reasonable price. The entrees were perfectly done and the right portion and they had a perfect limoncello. Service was pleasant and not too distant nor overbearing. We'll be back for sure!One suggestion- get better forks to reflect the quality of the meals. Our forks wrapped in a paper napkin was a disappointment to us on what we're high caliber entrees and salads.“

“We had a fantastic experience at Venice! We’ve lived in Denver for 20 years and we never knew this place existed. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing, so authentic! We went with our 3 kids (13, 10 and 10), they ordered off the kids menu and loved the fettuccini Alfredo. The service was excellent, and our server, Gillian was on point. I can’t say enough good things about him. We will most definitely be back. I would recommend this place to anyone. This place is really nice and intimate feeling. Great for a date night or a family dinner, so long you have well behaved kids who love good food.“

“My husband and I love eating at Brooklyn’s Finest Pizza. It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had. The pizza comes out quickly and piping hot! The dough is made fresh and you can tell. It tastes so good. I would eat here every week if I could. They also have delicious salads. Albie took our order and was so friendly. He commented on my jacket and we had a lovely conversation! “This place was such a delight. I went here on a date with my boyfriend and we immensely enjoyed the entire experience. Everything we ordered was on point, presentation was beautiful and the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. We ordered the Baked Brie and Caprese Salad as appetizers and I ordered the Shrimp Pesto Gnocchi for my entree. Everything was so delicious! The waitstaff was also very sweet and accommodating. “Food was excellent. Unhappy with the fact that they told there were no seats in the dining room and they showed us to seats in the bar area. We didn't want to sit there and so they took us to the dining room which was almost empty. Server was also excellent.“

“Fantastic, local Italian deli and sandwich shop that has been around for generations. They make basically everything homemade, from the sausage to the sauce to the raviolis, all of which are fantastic. It is truly a local spot too, run by just a few people who make truly traditional Italian dishes, both fresh and able to be taken home to be reheated. Also, the large sandwiches are LARGE, so be sure to be willing to share or save for leftovers if you get the large.“

“Got the firebird - terrific. Pizza is easily enough food for 2 hungry people, possibly 3-4 if getting apps or salads, etc. Bar is decently stocked and the drinks were good.My only complaint would be some of the seating is a little tight. Small place, so understandable though.“
