“The first time I came the fried ice cream was perfection. This time the corn flakes and waffle shell were very soggy and tasted quite old. I was a little disappointed since the prices have gone up considerably since the first time I came too. I'll give it another shot, I just hope the fried ice cream is a little more fresh like the first time I came.“

The biscuits and gravy is what I ordered and it was not your normal old school biscuits and gravy. The gravy has more meat, sausage and bacon, in It than you would get in an entire breakfast elsewhere, the biscuits have cheese baked in them and are huge, eggs and potatoes were cooked perfectly, and the house hot sauce was delightful. A must try in the north metro area.“

“The best meal I have ever had! We celebrated my birthday and our anniversary here after it was recommended on Reddit. Every aspect of our experience and meal was exquisite. Timely and professional service. The atmosphere was great and the food was the highlight. The fresh bacon starter was cooked perfectly , fall apart melt in your mouth pork belly paired with a garbanzo bean puree. I had a cocktail, I believe it was called a lavender sour but I could be wrong. It was heavenly like drinking a cloud. A wonderful gin based cocktail. We had delicious bread service, the goat cheese biscuit had a wonderful crunchy texture on the outside and was soft in the inside (best biscuit i've ever had) the lavender sourdough was also excellent. I had that artichoke tortellini and it was amazing. Very decadent and everything you could ever dream about a pasta being. For dessert we had the orange risotto canoli which was also expertly crafted, and enhanced by the Chantilly cream and passion fruit puree. I have never been to an award winning restaurant, I did not know what to expect, but this meal dar surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend a visit. It is worth every penny!“

“We had an amazing experience at Stone Cellar last evening. Everything was excellent with perhaps the only exception being the restaurant's attention to dietary restrictions. We had tried SCB a while back and with our gluten intolerance we struggled to make the menu work for us. Unfortunately, that hasn't changed much. We had the same challenges last evening.To be fair, the chef did his/her best to accommdate us by adjusting the entrees to suit but that unfortunately took away some key components that left the dishes that we ordered, lacking. It didn't work for either of us.Our experience is that most restaurants are now well advanced with their ability to offer dishes that are either dedicated to certain dietary restrictions or can be modified to keep the integrity/design of the dish.Oh, by the way, the gluten free buns were really good! That helped make up for the dishes that didn't quite work. We'd love to know where those were sourced.Having said that, the Bib Lettuce salad was incredible and the service (Christian) and atmosphere were absolutely perfect.We're hoping SCB can advance their ability to better accommodate dietary restrictions as we truly want to love this place since it is one of the best restaurants in Olde Towne Arvada.Dietary restrictions: See our general comments.“

“This combination pub and inn is aesthetically adorable. It was a snowy day and felt very cozy. They apparently have over 500 types of whiskey and are known for their fish and chips. Our party was mixed with carnivores and vegetarians and everyone was satisfied; the special was a bison blackberry pot pie which was delicious. Several of us had and enjoyed the fish and chips; although for my personal preference I would have liked a higher batter to fish ratio (they were still delicious though). The chips were also very good. They also have a number of beers on tap which were enjoyed by several in our group. Service was great. We would definitely eat here again when in the area.Wheelchair accessibility: there is one accessible parking spot which luckily we got. There were wheelchair accessible tables however the pathways in the restaurant were very cramped and both the hallway to get to the bathrooms and the bathrooms themselves were too small for wheelchair access (the doors were light though!) “Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“

“We both love Duo. Our meal started with the asparagus soup which was delicious. Then I had the mushroom main and my wife had the delicious chicken main. Since it was a special occasion, my birthday, and we told the waiter who was very professional and nice, brought us a little mango ice cream with a birthday candle beside the ice cream cup. Would've tried the quiche but they were out. Galette was amazing in that it had a light but crispy crust and was bountiful with ingredients and was filling!The atmosphere is very nice with big windows and lots of daylight.
