This may be a much better bar experience than a bbq experience. We served ourselves so technically I give ourselves 5 stars for getting our own chairs ready and moving tables, and also we get 5 more stars for walking to the bar and ordering then going to pick up the food at the window. As luck would have it I got the jerky, hard tack style ribs, and while those were ok, they didn’t fall off the bone as much as remind me of the rugged tough mtns we just skied. Fully finished all of them though, almost out of spite. Like skiing a triple black diamond- I know I can do it and I WILL get to the bottom no matter how many trees I hit! Personally I think they sat on the smoker 3 hrs too long. The absolute best dish was the brisket green chile bowl. Stick with that and you’ll have a 10 star dining experience. Pin ball machines were fun. Lively place and felt festive, and the staff was kind enough to help when we started setting up tables and chairs to sit at. As much as we wanted this to be great bbq, it just was a better bar to go sit and have drinks at.

This place should definitely have more than a 4 star average. It’s one of the best I’ve found. The meat is never too dry and everything is soooo good ?

We had the chili which was really good, but the service from the bartenders were alittle stand offish. We only ordered food so can’t speak to the beers on tap!

High prices, low quality. Disappointing as I thought it may be good BBQ.

Best bbq with their own style I've had in Colorado. If you're looking for texan / arkansas / Carolina or nuthin bbq, move a long this isn't the droids you're looking for. If you're open to something exceptionally well done but authentically its own style, this place was made for you.

Very hip, cozy place with great beer ...most all of which are gluten reduced!!! Big plus for those with allergies. Staff is extremely personable and attentive in this busy bar. Worth a stop in. I know it might be blasphemy being from Texas and all, but this is easily top three brisket I have had. Hard to even comprehend how brisket this good could exist outside Texas.

Small BBQ nachos - delicious and consistent as we went back and got them a second time. Good variety of beer!

Restaurant was less than half full and took over an hour to get food and only half of what was ordered came out and was all cold. Had to ask for silverware, sauce for bbq, etc.

The beers we had were decent. The BBQ was good. The place was over run with big dogs. I normally don't have an issue with pets kept under control. These dogs were not controlled. Several were not even on a leash. One kept getting into other people's chairs and faces. One dog broke the beer glass knocking it off of the table of someone that was not in there group. The same dog ate off of a different person's plate. Pretty unacceptable for owners of pets to not control their pets behavior. Not coming back.

Brisket (both the slices and the sandwich) was super fatty. Almost inedible, but we mucked it down didn't plan to return it bc eh, maybe they do "fatty" brisket (my first time w/ this type maybe?). And the side said garlic/jalapeño cole slaw.. but was just normal coleslaw (?). At least their hazy was decent (Highside Brewing).

We came in on a Monday at 2:30. The food was absolutely horrible. They have a very small menu. No burgers or fries on the menu. The only two kids options are hotdogs and two chicken legs. They were out of hotdogs and only had one order of chicken legs left. They came out cold and looked like they were sitting out for days. Everyone working had an attitude. We were told to get our own menus, when we ordered water to drink we were told "it's right behind me you can get it yourself". We had to walk over to the table next to the bar to get our own side plates. We ordered chips and salsa and when we asked if we could try the habanero to see if it's too hot we were told "we don't do food sampling here". We also ordered pulled pork sandwiches, brisket sandwiches, Cesar salad and the tacos. The Dr Pepper was flat Everything that should have been hot came out lukewarm, chicken was completely cold and when we asked to heat it up we got attitude. Its not family friendly. Save your money and spend it somewhere you are treated like they appreciate your business. If your reading this you may want to hire people who customer service oriented. The people currently working there should be working somewhere they have no human interaction. Absolutely terrible. I wouldn't go back if you paid me too.

We spent an impromptu day/night in Frisco, and were in search of a brewery to spend the afternoon at after a long morning of hiking. After considering a few, we stopped at Highside given the food truck, as well! It's a cute little no frills place with great beer and space to hang out. They had some table games, but many people also came to work. We loved that the food truck set up allows you to bring your dog into the taproom. We enjoyed a flight of all of their beers and pulled pork nachos with all of the sauces. The mustard sauce was my favorite, but they were all solid! The beers were also solid - I don't typically enjoy dark beers but I enjoyed the pilsner and Oktoberfest per usual! Overall, very chill spot that I'd recommend for an afternoon snack break. :)

tough and expensive brisket sandwich on a bad tasteless bun. the only reason we went to highside was for the Sunday Ticket but the manager with the "mirror sunglasses turned off the game and put on Red Zine which we could watch anywhere. Having grown up in Frisco and raised my family here, it is just such a bummer when people who recently moved here try to be "cool" and wrongly think that makes them seem more like a local. FYI, it does not make them local at all....

Beer was good, outside patio ambience could be improved - there were items in view that should have been in storage. Bar staff could be friendlier.

The people I was with wanted BBQ, so I sucked it up and tried it. I grew up with KC BBQ and have too high of standards for it. I'm not picky, but I know when it's good or bad. The food was outstanding, and I wish I lived closer because I'd go back FREQUENTLY. How they get such fantastic smoke flavor, perfectly cooked is magical. I believe it was superior to most BBQ places I've ever been to!! I can't even believe how good it was still. And the brewery right inside, it's like a match made in heaven. Such friendly people! I will certainly stop here for the food again. The sauce was also spot on! Thank you so much for your incredible food! The pork, the chicken all smoked perfectly! I had nachos with pork, chicken legs, pork sandwich with coleslaw, and tried all the sauces. I wish I had tried the ribs too!!Kid-friendliness: Many people had children here. Very family friendly.
