My absolute favorite neighborhood spot near Ken Caryl. I literally dream about the short ribs. The chicken curry is also delicious. We always get the tuna tartare as an appetizer. This is a place i could literally tell the server to surprise me and bring me anything. The food is that good. The service is always super friendly and welcoming and it is such a cozy little spot. They also have a great wine list. Can't wait until next time!

Tried this as our usual favorites were packed. All the stars are for the waitstaff, and interior ambiance. Ordered mussles to start, and was about halfway through when one of the mussles was rotten and upon opening the shell further, emitted a foul smell and a dirt-like ooze which put me off the rest of the dish. I ordered the mushroom ravioli, which came absolutely swimming in a spinach puree, so much so I thought I had been mistakenly brought a soup. Five thin raviolis with a cheese blend, spinach, and only flakes of mushroom. My partner ordered a spaghetti and meatball meal, but ended taking it home for another person to eat who said it was ok, and that the sauce was very thin, almost water-like. Table settings were a bit crowded, but the place was busy and everyone else seemed to be enjoying their meal. The place says that they are an Amerian eatery, but seem to only serve pasta dishes and fish.

The food was sub par, but the service was great. The spaghetti chicken parmesan was a huge portion -- recommend to hungry people. The wait staff was engaging and humorous and attentive to our party's needs.

Stopped in here and enjoyed the beet salad and the tuna tartare. Friendly staff and good looking menu. Will be back to try more when hungrier ?

The food: Everything we ordered was absolutely phenomenal, the avocado bruschetta specifically was to die for.The vibes: It's much fancier on the inside then it looks from the outside. It wasn't a problem but we were surprised. Also it was packed all night, I can't imagine a time when you wouldn't need a reservation.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options and the waiters were very helpful when it came to discussing the food.

Food is very bland and tasteless - best thing on my plates was the veggies - that’s not saying much ..

The service was good. They did miss the soup we ordered. Food was just okay for the price. I guess I expected better for what we paid. The restaurant itself was nice and had a good atmosphere.

We group of 5 really enjoyed our experience at Hilo. The entries selected were salmon piccata, chicken parm, braised short ribs and Italian sausage with penne. Samples were shared with the table from all dishes and everything was amazing. The service was top notch and on-point. This little family owned restaurant has quickly become a household favorite and we will be back many times over.

Jackson waited on us, and he is fantastic! Very personable, prompt, attentive but not overly so. He is observant of the table needs and the patrons. We wish all waitstaff were as wonderful as Jackson! The French onion soup and Caesar salad were very good, and we had great anticipation for our main entrees. But my Chicken parmigiana and my husbands chicken Alfredo were sub par. So, sadly, we will not be returning.

We had the Valentines steak and lobster special. The steak was over cooked, and the lobster was rubbery. The dinner was $90 per person very high priced for a mediocre dinner. We have been eating at this restaurant for several years and did not want to say anything at the time.

I was in Littleton, CO during Valentine's Day. My BFF and her husband invited me to join their Valentine's dinner. They raved about the HiLo restaurant. When we arrived, it was packed. We had reservations. It was AMAZING!!! I had the surf and Turf. Everything was perfect! I will definitely be back every time I'm in Denver. I also recommended it to my customers in Denver. Highly recommend!!!

A vegetarian at an American eatery may seem out of place but there are appetizers and entrees that suit me fine! The Burrata is lovely and the Alfredo Penne was also excellent. This is definitely one of my go-to restaurants when I want something step-up. The staff are always friendly and attentive.Vegetarian options: There are a couple of appetizers and entrees that are vegetarian. There's a wild mushroom ravioli and an Alfredo Penne plus a spaghetti with marinara. The Burrata appetizer is my favorite but there's an avocado crustini as well that's good.
