“I was in Longmont a few weeks ago and stopped into Carl's Jr for some onion rings and a milk shake. This store is always clean and the staff friendly. The shining star that I would like to recognize is Jose. He is a young man with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. He goes out of his way to assist in any way that he can, and this restaurant is very lucky to have a person like Jose working for them. At a time of come and go employees, Jose is a keeper, and he deserves to be recognized for his positive attitude and hard work. He is a leader, and I wish him well in growing his career goals wherever they take him.”

“The only reason I didn't give this place a higher rating is because the Miso soup was a little too salty for me and the tea was a little too weak. The host/owner got me another tea bag so all is well. Other than that, I got the spicy tuna rolls and three different fish nigiri. The owner Jason is very welcoming; he likes to chat at the bar with his customers, but there's also lots of
elegant table seating. They play really lovely jazz music too. This is the first time I've heard Dorothy Ashby playing jazz harp as part of a jazz playlist in a restaurant! Overall a great place for lunch or dinner if you want to feel welcome and have good food.”

“We took a short drive to Longmont. I tagged along with a promise of a nice late lunch and some much needed miso soup. On a cold, dreary & cloudy day we found a gem, Sumo Sushi•Grill, what a treat. Outstanding service, great atmosphere and amazing food. Priced right for our Bento Box lunches. Teriyaki Chicken and Salmon, our newest favorite place to go, just 20 minutes due North! Give them a try, we highly recommend. Craving it…as I’m writing this. 🫖 🍱🍚🥟🥙🍜”

“Had surprisingly wonderful experience at the Restaurant related to Maria, the gal who seated us and served us lunch on Friday, August 30th. I inadvertently left my credit card on the payment tray when I left the restaurant. The Lady that I met for lunch and I went for a drive locally in her car afterward, and I returned to pick up my car an hour or two later. Upon arrival at my car parked a distance away from the restaurant entry, Maria walked out of the restaurant and over to my car to hand me my credit card. With a pleasantly innocent comment about my having left the card in the restaurant. Talk about integrity, humanity and going out of her way to be kind and helpful, Maria is deserving of respect and admiration. Awesome honorable job Maria. Note that Maria is also an excellent waitress and person with whom to interact. She was subtly attentive and helpful without in any way being intrusive. Very impressed with Maria based on this experience.”

The person who seated us wasn't very friendly, and didn't interact with me, but he did share one smile.”

“Went to the Boulder location many years ago and was really happy to go again. Went in for breakfast with my son and both of us were really happy and stuffed when we left. Loved the coffee and the food. We got a biscuit and grits and the eggs new Orleans. Loved the eggplant in the dish. My son who normally avoids vegetables loved it too. The coffee reminds me of home.
Was full but the service was prompt and really quick. Will go back with the whole family soon.

We started off with dumplings, soup dumplings might be the coolest thing I’ve ever eaten. Super affordable and 2nd day in a row good!”

“Cozy place to just sit and relax. Good place to read a book or work on your projects. Mocha was made with 1883 chocolate syrup which, unfortunately is not gluten free. If you like sweet mocha. Ask for extra chocolate. The drink itself was very nice, as was just sitting and sipping in their place. Food was average coffee shop fare, but not bad by any stretch. I’d go again, but sweeter mochas exist in town.

“We were in Denver for a wedding and ran up to Longmont to see a friend from HS. We asked where a good place to eat was and after a few options we decided on 300 Suns based on the options for hatch! Items bought were vegetarian green chili (that person is a chili snob and said it was the best they had had at a restaurant), the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with fries and they refused to share, and last was a green chili smash burger. To be fair I love green chilis but don’t like getting burgers at restaurants (you can screw the patty up fast), and really hate smash burgers… this was one of the juiciest and flavorful burger I have ever had! Would recommend it 10/10! We got it with the house chips and they didn’t disappoint either. The only thing we wished they had was west coast styled IPA’s, or an IPA over 6-6.5 ABV. But the beer that we got was great.”

The manager was super understanding and helpful, he made the experience better. Fast forward a week later, we came back in for dinner, food was amazing like we are used to from this location. The manager sat with us and talked, made sure we were taken care of, and even took a few $$ off our bill. Definitely back to being a regular spot for us. ☺️”

“Stopped in on our way through the area and grabbed a couple slices and some cheesy bread to go. Food came out quickly and was fresh and delicious! The slices were large and foldable NY-style with lots of gooey cheese and that cheesy bread was nothing but gooey cheese and wonderfully crispy outside/fluffy inside crust. Highly recommend this place and wish I had gotten to try more!”

I started with takoyaku which is fried Osaka style octopus balls(5), for entree I ordered the fresh ahi tuna poke bowl. My cousin ordered the Ebi tempura ramen, Shrimp tempura, egg. scallion, bamboo, nori, wakame. naruto, bonito flakes and shoyu broth ramen. To finish the night on the house we got Japanese cheesecake to celebrate our friend. The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. The restaurant is a cute little cozy place and I will be returning!!!”

“My family and I went here yesterday on Christmas (2024). It was about 2 hours before they were closing. The place was packed! Right away the staff were so friendly and inviting. I was sold just off of the hospitality alone. We ordered ribs, sesame chicken and Mongolian beef to go. While we waited, they served us drinks, gave my daughter gifts and snacks. Couldn’t wait to get home to eat. It smelled So good!
The food was amazing. Reminds me of the Chinese restaurant in Boston’s “China Town”. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the portions were nice! Best Chinese food we’ve had since we moved to Colorado from Miami! Took me 3 months but, I found my spot!”

“Charming, if just a tad heavy on the country music. The cowboy theme works because there are unexpected touches, like the rose motif above the bar. Staff was super friendly and the portions were monstrous. Some of the better prepared bar food I've had in a while. Which also benefitted from interesting choices beyond the dog's and burgers (which are excellent) like the chicken in a waffle cone with Mac and cheese. There was more I'd have loved to try, but as I said, big portions. Nice spot for an afternoon lunch on Main with my grown kids. Good to see Longmont coming back to life after the pandemic.”

“On my visit to Denver, and at Embassy Tavern, I tried a Lush Puppy Juicy IPA by Bootstrap Brewing Company. This delicious brew had a smooth mouthfeel without any heavy bitterness, and a clean aftertaste. The light amber color is pretty standard for its style, and it lacks any real lacing, but its frothy enough on the pour. If you're looking for a good sessionable (even if not an actual Session beer) summer brew, you can't go wrong with choosing this beer. This New England Hazy IPA is 6.3% ABV.”

“The restaurant is nestled in a charming, vintage neighborhood in Longmont. They even off valet parking. The owner of the restaurant himself, took the time to make sure we were comfortable while we were waiting for our table.. He even took us there when it was ready.!He suggested the tiki seating area in the outdoor patio. It seats six, so we were joined by two other couples. The conversation was lively and interesting. My fiancée ordered the tuna fish sandwich and I had the beet salad, both were tasty! The sun had gone down by now and the subdued lighting added a new level of ambience.. We capped off the night with the citrus cake and coffee. The service was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be going back there again!”
