Well, I thought Montrose might be a little less expensive than Denver but boy was I wrong. I know Safeway is usually more expensive but wow, we went in and grabbed a few items, one bag of basically nothing much, and $80. I think they are charging resort prices here. Not many options, hoping Trader Joe's will open a Montrose store.
I can’t begin to say enough about the Safeway in Montrose. Not only are their employees absolutely stellar but their willingness to help local organizations is amazing. Do yourself a favor and order grocery pick up. Lory does an amazing job. I love this place!

I love this grocery store and have been a loyal customer for 4 years since I moved here from ca. I've decided to leave this review in hopes they can improve certain areas. I have arthritis and rely on buying pre cut fruit and veggies because my hands just can't cut it up well. For the last month or longer I've noticed there's often not any stocked precut fruit.
