“I’ve been at the resort for a few days now. Hallowed Grounds has been a daily stop for me in the mornings. There is always at least 1 staff member here who is incredibly friendly and makes a rock solid espresso drink. I’ve tried cappuccinos, lattes and americanos and they all turned out as good as my local coffee shops back home (and noticeably better than Starbucks). The grab and go sandwiches are also surprisingly good and fresh.”

“Been in the Fraser area for 10 years. Always go to Pole Creek and Bistro 28 for golf and food in the summer but never tried a winter dinner. Finally did and it was excellent (food and service). The pork tenderloin with ground mustard sauce and Shepard’s pie were some of the best we’ve ever had. Will definitely go again.”

“This place is incredible. Chef Maggie does an amazing job with the food and it saddens me that it’s received such negative reviews. The service was exceptional and we had a wonderful time.

My issue? There were SEVERAL people coming to the bar making requests and responding unkindly when it took more than 5-10 minutes for the staff to fulfill those requests on a very busy night. Where I come from, that’s standard and considered great service because each guest was taken care of and not made to wait for over 8 minutes.

The staff is 5 star. Kind, hard-working and accommodating. It’s the guests that need to step up. I’m a travel advisor and my husband and I travel for work, and I have never been anywhere where the guests have been so incredibly rude to the hard working, talented individuals that keep this place running smoothly. This ranch is priced fairly and well staffed (considering it’s the slow season) when comparing it to the surrounding competition AND to the industry in general.

We will always recommend this gem to anyone looking for an exceptional experience.”

“Oh my word! This place is by far the BEST pizza I have EVER had! Simply amazing! We stopped here with our kids on summer vacation and are planning to eat here again before heading home. The service and atmosphere were superb. Do yourself a favor and go see Zappa! Tell him Amanda sent you! :)”

“we just had the smokehouse cater a event in grand junction for a 3 day event and man did they go over and above with service and product. the crew sean and his guys showed up and made eating easy they had all kinds of food with huge portions and evey side you could imagine. very professional service and top shelf food will use for every event we put on from here on out. rate the 10/10 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ great job guys as always come get smoked out and sauced up”

“We got into Fraser late on Saturday and the Colorado Corndog Company food truck saved the day! Every place we tried had a very long wait so we decided to give it a try. The service was amazing and the food was every better! My kids declared it the best chicken fingers they had ever had and our burgers were perfection! Highly recommend!”

“The pizza was delicious! Excellent crust and toppings. And the service was TOP NOTCH! Seriously, they went above and beyond to connect with the kids (showing their dough throwing skills off, much to our kids delight) and got our pizzas out super quickly! One of our group is Gluten free and said his pizza was great, and I am lactose intolerant and was surprised to find out that they had a vegan cheese option when I went to order without cheese! Will def be back when we are in town.”

“I wish I could give Idlewild 10 stars! Best vegan food we have had in a while! We got the shishito peppers, the vegan sliders, the vegan ravioli, and the vegan chocolate mousse. The chef is vegan and even came out to greet us! We also got several drinks, my husband got alcoholic mixed drinks and I got their mocktails. All of the drinks were super good! The vibe was super cool as well! Best place to eat in Grand County! We will definitely be back!”
