This was perfect for the type of evening we wanted - 5 friends getting together last minute looking for good food and quiet atmosphere so it was easy to talk. None of us live nearby or had been here before. We went on a Sunday night around 4:30pm. Several tables open and we were seated right away. We had rainbow rolls, spicy yellow tail roll, yellow tail roll, salmon roll and the Buddha (tempura) roll. IMO - all were very good! Loved the Buddha roll! I’m not a sushi expert and get sushi about 5 times a year. I loved how cute and quaint this restaurant is and the “mom ‘n pop” feel. The couple that served us were very kind and helpful. A sushi dinner is one that is meant to be savored and enjoyed with a great conversation (not in a rush) and that’s what we happily experienced. I hope I have the opportunity to try other dishes there when I’m back in the area!

Came here with my cousin after a long day for quick sushi. Quick wasn't exactly what happened but it appeared they only had 2 people working, so we couldn't be too mad. I got the udon. It was Really good. I'm from out of the area, so coming back won't happen soon, we i live in CA. But next time i visit family I'd love to go again. Their rolls were really good too! My little cousin got the teriyaki chicken. She ate more than she ever usually eats. So we know she really liked it too!!

Great place! The food was great for the price. Extremely friendly staff who helped us with all of our questions. Family owned and operated! The Chef came out to our table to ensure we liked everything. We'll be back!Dietary restrictions: We had a Tuna allergy at the table and they were more than willing to leave out or substitute the Tuna in the rolls.

Great sushi and ramen! Very fresh. Options for vegetarians and vegans too. The fried zucchini sushi was crunchy and flavorful. They made a veggie ramen just for us by subbing the meat for more veggies. Very kind workers :)

I only found Sushi Tokoro in Thornton during COVID and they had only been open for take out [or reservations only] for a lot of it. I had tried a few dishes to go but was never impressed. I wanted to go back and try dishes that wouldn’t be as good to go. Started with the gyoza and my go to: hamachi and ebi sushi. The gyoza was really good crunchy and not greasy. The hamachi was fresh but one of the pieces was cut a bit oddly but that made it pretty thick so very nice fish to rice ratio. Both dishes were plated beautifully. For my entrée I had been wanting non-sushi Japanese food. So I got the tonkatsu curry rice the tonkatsu was really good. I’m honestly not sure how they made it. It was crunchy but without the super sharp panko cutting up my upper palette. The curry was pretty good but it was a little thinner and more soupy than I prefer. Overall it helped to eat these dishes fresh. I can’t wait for the weather to be a bit cooler and tonkotsu becomes appealing.

Small, family owned establishment with THE best sushi and Japanese food! The owners are super sweet and go out of their way to make everything perfect. Extensive menu and generous portions. Can be a little slow at times but it's because everything is made fresh and it's so worth the wait! By far our favorite sushi place!

Amazing family owned and operated establishment. Has been here for years for good reason. The food is spectacular and the service is great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a small/quaint sushi restaurant that has some of the best sushi with extremely fair pricing.

Best sushi ever ????? great customer service. They do take a little time to serve your food but everything is freshly made so it’s worth the wait.

This was such a great experience. Delicious, expertly crafted, sushi rolls from a friendly family owned restaurant. My wife loved her Buddha roll and she does NOT usually like sushi. And check out this dragon roll!

I don't generally like sushi but I'm still thinking of the Spicy Buddha Roll two days later. We had a great experience Sunday evening. The family that runs the restaurant took great care of us. If I lived in town, I'd be a regular. Great food, great people. I'm glad we found them.

We came here for an engagement celebration. This is some of the best sushi we as a family has ever had. The shredder Roll and the green tea ice cream is unique and amazing. Very hospitable, kind, professional, loving and caring. We stayed long after hours and they were still waiting on us and even gave us some more free desserts! It was trulyFamily business that really cares.

I was introduced to sushi Tokoro by my ex-boyfriend who’s family is friends with the owners due to being frequent loyal customers. Family run business and are all very friendly. Now I am a sushi addict and this restaurant is to thank for making me love it through their fresh, authentic sushi. Also their chicken fried rice is heavenly! ❤️ I hope this place is open for years to come!

I've been going here since they opened, about 20 years now. It's a diamond in the rough. What it lacks in location and ambiance they make up for in delicious food and great customer service. Try the purple haze, lobster dynamite, shredder roll or any specialty rolls.
