“the best sushi you'll have! takeshi gets the freshest and most unique fish and preparation is A+.”
“Very good food and friendly staff. Specially Pradip was really good.”
“Food was great overall, and the ambiance was wonderful. The service was prompt and food arrived very quickly. The only thing that slightly disappointed me was the side salad as I was hoping for a more traditional Austrian or a German salad with pickled veggies and vinegarette. All the other food was delicious. We will definitely go back.”
“We loved this restaurant so much! They have both good and authentic Chinese and Thai food. The sushi there was fresh and tasty. The sushi chef “Fei” even came to our table to ask about how we like the sushi when he was available. We talked a little bit and knowing that he has been working as a sushi chef for over 16 years. I would like to say my sushi was not only a dish but also an art work. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends if they come for skiing。”

“Oh.My.Lord! Amazing!!! We went for dinner 12/5 while up at Vail. Charles, one of the managers, was thoughtful, checked to see how our experience was…it was second-to-none! The restaurant is beautiful, love the open kitchen, the staff—kind, informative, attentive. But the food! Next level!! The pork shank is the best pork I’ve ever had . . . wow! Charles told us the lengthy process it takes to make that, so delicious! The clam chowder was exceptional; they smoke the clams before putting in the chowder. That slight smoky flavor made this the best chowder I’ve ever tasted!
In summary, beautiful restaurant, great customer service and outstanding food!! Go!! You won’t be disappointed.”
“Outstanding service from the time we arrived and awesome selection of fine foods and wines. Loved every minute of it!”
“By far the best Italian food I have found in the United States!”

“What a fabulous lunch. Patrick our waiter was knowledgeable, courteous attentive and cute! The food was great too. Carrot honey chicken sandwich best ever! Elk meatball sub was excellent. Fries in duck fat, there are no words. Topped off with a dark chocolate, baby guava tart…..what can I say. All Patrick’s suggestions…thank you.”
“Had a delicious lunch here today! The sushi is seriously delicious, made by a great sushi chef and way more affordable than other sushi places in town! I wish more people would bring their business here. I see some not very nice reviews about the hostess/waitress but people just don’t understand her! She has a very dry sense of humor and if she comes off as “rude” it’s her way of being funny! Please have a conversation with her and you will see she’s actually a very nice woman and has been in this business for many, many years along with her family and they are also very nice people. She was making us laugh so hard today! I think we all need to keep in mind that everyone has a story and maybe to ask questions and have conversations with people rather than immediately coming up with an opinion. Just my two cents. And for those of you that say they won’t go back because of their interaction with her, it’s definitely your loss.”
“Located at the top of Gondola 19 in Lionshead, Eagle’s Nest has several eateries for skiers and riders. The food here is good, although expensive. Over the past two years, the menu options and quality have improved significantly. There is a good bar on the first floor, Bistro 14. This use to be a restaurant, but post-COVID, it is just a bar.”
“The Gambit Bar in Vail, CO, is a fantastic spot for anyone seeking a lively atmosphere, creative cocktails, and a welcoming vibe. This bar combines a modern, stylish interior with a cozy mountain-town feel, making it a great place to relax after a day on the slopes. The bartenders are skilled and friendly, often crafting unique cocktails that go beyond the standard fare and offering expert recommendations based on your taste. With an impressive selection of both classic and inventive drinks, there’s something for everyone. The Gambit Bar’s ambiance is perfect for gathering with friends or meeting new people, with just the right balance of energy and laid-back charm. If you’re in Vail and want a memorable bar experience, The Gambit is a top choice.”

“My husband met the owner on the gondola one day and told us all about First Chair. We made it out for dinner and drinks with the kids a few days later. Chris served us and it was great meeting him as a fellow East coaster! We ordered almost all of the burritos on the menu and were not disappointed! The smash burger was easily my favorite. My dad would order the meatball burrito for every meal, I swear, with how much he enjoyed it as well as my 1 year old eating half of one herself. My son did work on the nachos they were so tasty! When we get back to Vail, we'll be sure to stop in! great staff and food!”
“We had a good lunch here! We went on a Sunday and it wasn’t too busy for lunch. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and my friends got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the chicken passion sandwich (I think that’s what it was called! It came with like a plum sauce). It was exactly what I wanted and the bread specifically is amazing! Had a local feel to it. The plum sauce was good too. It is sweet, but not too much and goes well with the chicken (or the fries!)
Vegetarian options: There was a mushroom burger and a black bean burger option”
“Cool place. Seated quick. Took a while for a waiter to grace our table. We both got burgers. They were ok. Performed patty. Probably a frozen one. Fries were weirdly crunchy. I don’t like limp fries but overly crunchy is just weird. I always prefer hand cut fries.”

“Such a lovely cafe in vail. We had the winter soup and avocado toast and were both in love with our meals. Listen. If you are an avocado toast connoisseur, I am telling you, you HAVE to try their toast. It is insane. I’m still dreaming about it. Highly recommend this cafe if you’re in vail!
Dietary restrictions: Avocado toast, chia seed pudding,”
“Excellent location, friendly and attentive staff, and perhaps most importantly, a charming, comfortable, and picturesque room that brought out the best in an already remarkable location. An unforgettable experience for my wife and I. Thanks!”
“Awesome afternoon brew spot! Grab a table and treat yourself to a few Hot Mess blondes. Grab a sixer and a few stickers on your way out. Food truck outside was very good as well.”

“Vail Brewing Co. in Vail, CO, is a must-visit for craft beer lovers, offering an exceptional lineup of beers in a relaxed, mountain-chic setting. Their range spans from crisp lagers to bold IPAs and smooth stouts, with a rotating selection that keeps things fresh and exciting. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with recommendations that show their passion for craft brewing.”
“My favorite cafe in Vail. I used to go just for morning coffee and the lox (very generous and fresh salmon portion) and maybe an afternoon Hugo Spritz, but they also make the best empanadas I’ve ever tasted. Just big chunks of slow braised beef in a warm, crispy crust. Amazing.”
“Steven Teaver the owner was awesome! He opened up a little early to allow us Oregonians to check out Bad Kitty Lounge! Made us feel like long time friends! The suspended mirrored ski boot was a spectacular touch. Were there 08/23/21. Going through some of our Colorado vacation pics and had to comment on this place.”
“I was pretty disappointed this season with the limited options this time. The food is served apparently only some days.. then there's no wait staff I guess anymore, and as much as this place suppose to be bumpin' for any apres ski time they decide to close at 4pm or so.. blew my mind.. absolutely the most prime real estate .. the way its ran I guarantee they're hitting less than 50% of its potential revenue! [It's a very obvious observation] no entertainment just self order line. Please be better.. make Vail resorts $$ so ppl don't need to pay $300 day for skiing”
“Oh my! What can I say was my best experience?? The service was AMAZING!!! The pizza, even after being held so we could finish our drinks and our ride back to our hotel, was flipping SO GOOD!! I would recommend this spot for anyone wanting amazing service, atmosphere, and great tasting food!”
“We have been coming here as a family for 20 years (since I was 7!). I tried getting takeout and was heartbroken to hear that shrimp with lobster sauce is no longer on the menu. It was seriously the best, everyone’s favorite and we always got double orders. Hoping they some day will bring it back”
“Aspects of our service were stuffy but was very on point. Nice dining space. Some of the food items were fantastic and others truly fell short. Overall was a good experience. I would check it out again. No parking - give yourself advance time to park and walk.”
“The bbq pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. The waiter was a little under par. He just wasn't as attentive to us as he was others. We ordered 2 beers he only brought one. And when we said we wanted 2. He had a attitude. But then apologized right before he brought the bill.”
“Great place to go if you just want a chill/typical bar environment. A lot of local people come to this bar.
Also the duck is amazing so I would recommend getting that!”

“Best breakfast, even in off season. Attentive service, calm, with morning light setting, in an atrium with lovely classical music. If you want a relaxing delicious breakfast come here. If you have a chance to w experience the brunch buffet it’s next level!”

“Jacob is the one of the best bartenders I’ve ever came across. You’re in good hands if he’s taking care of you during your visit to the restaurant!!
P.s. one of the best bars in town to go to.. it’s reasonably priced and adds that extra texture of comfort being one of the locals favorite… for a good reason”
