We had a wonderful meal last night at Avon Indian Grill. They were very patient with our talkative group of seven, explaining foods and spice levels. After a slight delay in the kitchen, we were brought two extra appetizers that the owner wanted us to try. And later, two desserts were brought out as well. All of the food was delicious, and everyone was able to take some home as well. The staff even played a joke on us! A great time. We honestly don’t understand why it isn’t busier. Please try it out!

What an amazing place. The staff was so friendly it felt as if we’ve known each other forever. The owner came and greeted us and treated us as family. There is so much to say about the food. It was authentic and It was an experience. Flavorful and satisfying. I had the chicken biryani. The appetizers were filling and delicious. If you order a drink try the mango lassi. And ask for the bread basket. You won’t regret it. This was the best Indian restaurant I’ve tried. Great job!

Takeout review:This was the second time doing takeout from Avon Indian Grill. The first time I had their chicken tikka Masala and it was very flavorful with boneless chicken breast in a creamy orange base. The meal was average size and it came with basmati rice. We also had garlic naan but I didn't like it, it was too dry and flavorless. I like the naans that are covered in garlic and oil, the bread is stretchy; this was just dry and lackluster. The second time, I tried out their chicken vindaloo which also has boneless chicken breast and with a reddish base with a kick to it; I just wish it was more spicy but overall, the flavor was on point. This also came with basmati rice. This time we had the chicken samosa as an appetizer which I wasn't a fan of because it was too dry inside. Usually, the ones I've had before, it had potatoes in them and it's more moist. Overall the main entrees I've tried out so far were good. I would skip on the appetizers I've mentioned. The service has been good with ordering and picking up too.

We tried this place again after hearing it’s been under new ownership! SO. GOOD. My husband and I love the korma curry and naan. I’m sure there’s so many other amazing dishes, but it’s so hard for us to stray from what we love. The service is so kind and helpful. This spot is definitely our go to Indian food spot, now! Also look forward to trying to Sunday buffet :)

Note: I eat a lot of Indian food and usually love it.The chicken tikka masala was ok, not special. The naan was bland, undercooked, and had a cakey texture. The onion pakoda was an inedible salt bomb. So was the Chicken Tikka Kabob, which was a real shame since the chicken pieces were good and the initial flavor was good, but then the salt kicked in.If you know good Indian food, you know it can be hard to find outside major cities in the US. The quality is often mixed, but no excuse for so much salt.

We came for lunch. The decor is fabulous, comfy lighting and music, tastefully appointed. Got Chicken Masala and Butter Chicken, both were outstanding. The waitress and the chef came out to ask how our meal was. Will definitely come back, and often.

I've ordered the Butter Chicken from this restaurant twice now; once as the lunch special & once as the dinner entree. I had a fantastic experience both times, but I will highlight the differences for anyone that is curious. The lunch special comes with a smaller portion of the chicken as well as similar portions of rice, chickpeas, & a seasonal vegetable, as well as a piece of naan. The dinner entree came with a much larger portion of the chicken & a larger portion of rice, but none of the other inclusions. I think both are an excellent value for money, just different options.I am glad to live so close to this restaurant & have nothing but good things to say about it.
