“I was given a Groupon as a gift to go here and was pleasantly pleased! Our waitress was so attentive and everything form the Bread (with soft butter! I hate when it is still hard it was perfect!) the salad was very fresh and we both chose the Chicken Cacciatore which was so good! The place is cute and very clean! The white asparagus were a surprise. They were harmonious and sophisticated. I'm not sure I have ever tasted a better prepared vegetable. The lobster cavatelli was simply one of the best we've ever tried — bright, briny, and perfectly balanced in flavor, with excellent texture and a presentation that highlighted the attention to detail. Chef/owner Vincent is hands on making sure everything is perfect. Luke's is not just a restaurant, it's an authentic gastronomic experience. You can feel the high level of the cuisine and the creative, author-driven approach in every dish. “Stopped into Brick Oven as a suggestion from my high school buddy who lives in New Haven. Will be a place I frequent going forward in my travels to New Haven. The pizza was great but the customer service was even greater.. The owner actually took the time to converse with us and to have good pizza and good customer service puts this spot high on my list of places to go period. Da prez”

“We didn't even know it was a jewish/kosher place when we stopped in, until we saw some of the other customers. We weren't sure it was the place for us but left happy. The 2 of us shared our plates: The burger was very good & much fresher than a lot of other places. The hot & sweet chicken sandwich w/ candied jalapenos was excellent. The french fries could maybe have used a little more salt but that's just my preference; they were nicely crispy on the outside & I really liked the garlic mayo that came w/ them (Husband stuck with the ketchup). The service was prompt & friendly. No complaints about that at all. Restaurant prices are all crazy high nowadays. So I'd have to say their prices were reasonable for high-end sandwiches. It's a nice, homey p[lace. I'd recommend it even if you're not a jew.”
