We had the deviled egg appetizer (best I've had), escargots, pate, pappardelle with truffle cream sauce and New York strip which had an amazing green peppercorn sauce. Otoulouse is truly impressive. Their roasted half chicken is probably the best chicken I have ever had. Perfectly cooked. Their desserts are memorable and are definitely my go-to for sweets in the area. They don’t seem to mind doing pick up orders, and if they do they don’t show it!

This lovely restaurant with the utmost of delicious food, and the most heavenly vibe and excellent service.. I had the french onion soup, the beef bourguignon, and vanilla cream puff for dessert. Others in my party had the salmon, duck and mushroom truffle pasta and each received a raving review. Each table is situated so you are kind of by yourself with your group in a relaxed comfortable but elegant atmosphere. Every space of this restaurant meets the vibe. Truly a wonderful evenig of deliciousness!

I've never had french cuisine before so this was a nice, fancy introduction to it. I don't have much to say, really. I got the boeuf bourginion and the mushrooms mixed within the mashed potatoes tasted great. The sauce was interesting. Having the window seat was definitely nice as well and added to the chill ambience.

The place is very cute and intimate. The Waitress was very friendly. She took her time to explain exactly what the dish contained.They were eager to assist us with substituting ingredients and the dishes were still delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant especially if you have allergies.

We had a wonderful dinner last night. We ordered the duck and the salmon and the lemon tart for dessert. It was all delicious, and cooked just as we requested. Portions were larger than we expected. We were so happy with dinner that we ordered the mushroom pasta to go for the next day. The room is welcoming... warm, simply decorated, clean and inviting. The staff was so accommodating. No surprise, this restaurant reminds us of two of our other favorites, Union League and Bar Bouchee. We were really happy to find such a lovely place so close by! We will be back.

Ôtoulouse has become a favorite place for my husband and I to dine. The cuisine is always outstanding. I love that the Chef has such a heart for food which is reflected in the menu. You'll never get bored with the menu as it's always offering new dishes. We love Rachelle and the staff as they are always so welcoming and we've enjoyed getting to know them. See you soon! :)
The food is magisterial. We had a silky soft appetizer of pork belly that melted upon contact with the tongue, and this was accompanied by a wonderful Syrah from La Touge. The main course of Beef bourguignon transported us to the French countryside, with its brilliant flavors of wild mushroom and vegetable coating a perfect side of beef. This is for now still a hidden gem on the Connecticut coast and the service, food, and relaxing atmosphere in a simple dining room make it the perfect place for dinner with friends.

A nice place. Roomy. Tables aren't too close together. Wife had the Parmesan dish and I had the beef bourgignone. Latter was ok. Potatoes were pretty tasteless, but the beef was good. Mushrooms in potatoes weren't really apparent and there were pearl onions in the concoction although they're not listed in the menu description. Wife enjoyed her papardelle fraîche greatly. Didn't try a dessert. Lauren was our server and was outstanding, helping us greatly with our somewhat arcane cocktail choices. We likely will go back, but the next time I'll try the steak frites.

I went to Otoulouse for the first time the other night and all I can say is, WOW! The restaurant is situated right on East Main St. in Branford center. There's no parking lot, but on-street parking is available nearby. I had a reservation and was seated promptly by the hostess. The server was very nice and took drink orders just a few minutes after sitting down. I was seated at a table right near the front window, with a great view of downtown Branford.I ordered the White Margarita to drink, which was very good. For bread they served French baguette, which was delicious. The waitress said that they import the dough from France. I got the French Onion Soup for an appetizer, which was AMAZING! Literally the best French Onion Soup I've ever had. It was super cheesy, and they used chunks of bread rather than just one piece over the top, making it easier to eat. Just be careful, it was piping hot!For my meal I ordered the Pan Seared Duck Breast, which was delicious! Super tender and cooked perfectly. The dessert special was a chocolate apple crepe... excellent!The only criticism I have was that the food did take a little while to come out. But because everything was so good, it was worth the wait. I'll definitely be going back again!
