This is the best restaurant in Bridgeport. The food here is outstanding and the prices are great. You will love the pizza. It is better than New York City pizza.

Once a Landmark, "must stop in Bridgeport for this pizza restaurant" has sadly fallen into disrepair. The inside of the restaurant is ragged...seats, flooring are torn, worn and dated. Ceiling tiles are stained brown and some black and look to be ready to fall down. It is self service now...no more waitstaff. Food was still good...not great. Very greasy. Prices have gone up...quality has gone down.

I used to go here all the time back in the 80's and 90's, first time visiting since moving back to CT after 25 years in Maryland. I ordered a large bacon pizza and it was as good as it was in the past. Crust had a nice crispness, sauce was flavorful, plenty of cheese and the bacon was cooked perfectly. I'm glad I finally got to return to Captains and will definitely be back.

I must say, their sausage pizza is excellent. The sausage is real Italian sausage. You can taste it!! There are no waitresses. You must pay for your food before you sit down. Pick your own seat. I appreciate the real sausage on the pizza.

Captain's is a Family eatery from My Childhood. My Dad took our Family here on Family Night so I eat here whenever I'm Visiting Home. Sausage Pizza & Fruit Punch Mocktails is My Fav. Give it a Go, you'll Like!Kid-friendliness: Mozzarella sticks, Chicken strips & Fries are hand made, NOT Frozen!

I don't live in CT anymore but hands down, this is one of my favorite pizza places EVER! I used to order from here weekly and I miss it. Food was always fresh and flavorful and the staff was nice. Quick service. Even if you have to go out of your way it's worth it!

Ohh man, I'm so sad I loved Captains. As a kid growing up we loved going to captains after games and weekend. I just visited captains Jan/2023 and was I disappointed. There was no service. The owner stated to help ourselves to dishes forks and cups. The Pie was soggy the wings were not the same. The place looked run down. Ceiling tiles falling or missing. The HVAC Vents had 1/4" of black dirt. Water stains on ceiling tiles and walls. Last time I will ever go there. So sad.
