“The bakery is clean and always fully staffed! My Husband loves the sugar free turnovers! We appreciate that they usually have the sugar free alternatives, as He is diabetic! They also do cupcakes and cakes! I would get there early, on the weekends, for the best selection! The only thing that bothered Me, that I recently found out, was that they freeze the cupcakes! They are still good but I'm thinking that may be why they are sometimes a little off!“
“Bakery On Maple is a fantastic gem located near Federal Hill. Their baked goods are without a doubt some of the best we've had. Their cinnamon rolls might be the best example of "max" cinnamon taste without being overpowered, their croissants are so light & flakey, the gingerbread bar while thick, was very soft to bite into & had such rich flavor - we loved the chocolate cupcake (fantastic chocolate cream!) and their macarons are simply delicious - probably my wife's favorite but so close. Cannot wait to go back and try more of their baked goods soon!“

“I really love this little bakery. I was in a bind and needed a cake within two days and every other place that I contacted said they could not do what I needed. For reference it was a white cake, with a picture of Ronald McDonald on it with a raked texture and matching frame. So in my opinion it was a cake that was not complex, but for some reason the large grocery stores refused me. When I went in to Nonnie’s , everyone was so warm and kind. They were personable and became really invested in my silly McDonald's Birthday Cake Debacle. The cake was loved by all that ate it. Very light, but fulfilling. I would recommend anyone who needs baking done, to take a visit to Nonnie’s. They treat you like family , their prices are VERY fair and I will definitely return again.? also there Italian cookies next level good! I plan to grab some more in a couple days.?“
“This place is great! It had the "mom and pop" vibes that makes you know a bakery is going to be good. Service was good. Greeted immediately when I came in and she had good recommendations for what to buy to get myself to the credit card minimum. I was in and out in under three minutes. The food here is INCREDIBLE. I had a crumb cake and it was perfect in every way. My sister had a cannoli and said it was the best she's ever had. I felt that the brownies were too thin and dry, but the flavor profile was good.“

“This location is great. The girls working here are always friendly and quick at their job. We always come in to get the Sundae Dashers and the staff is NEVER stingy with the toppings. “My daughters brownie troop scheduled a pizza cooking class for the girls here and it was a fantastic experience. There were at least 30 girls and it ran incredibly smoothly. The space was bright and clean and there was seating in the back for the parents to watch if they chose to stay. The women in charge did a great job of explaining why certain ingredients were needed and there was enough staff working to help each of the kids out. We even got to take home a copy of the pizza dough recipe!“

“I needed a Glutin free cake and a regular cake for my sister's suprise 60th and her and her husband's 20th anniversary party. Mix Fine Cakes & Pastries did a fantastic job. Everyone raved about the cakes being perfect. Devil food, with a layer of chocolate moose and a whipped cream base frosting. Delicious!!“
“Avventura is back open today!! I went first thing this morning to be one of the first people in the door. I got my usual, Bacon egg and cheese on a spinach wrap. I also got a giant chocolate chip an M&M cookie. It was good to see that familiar faces and I'm glad they still remember my name!“

“I have been going on the weekend getting a slice of buttercream cake. Always happy with that. I was in there Sunday morning and decided to ask about the whipped cream slices. I asked Diane, of of the bakers why whipped cream can taste so different from different places. She was very busy, but she took the time to explain it to me. I asked if I could taste the whip cream, she let me. It was so good I picked up a slice with whipped cream. Problem is now I probably will be buying 2 slices when I go, instead of one. They are so nice here. I usually have Elyana waiting on me. Always smiling and so nice. Anyone else never had has been the same.“
“I have family in waterbury that we try and visit monthly and this is the first place we stop at each time and believe it or not it is just for the loaves of bread and my brother in law drives all the way from NH to grab just bread for certain occasions.... Much to my surprise there aren't many places that make this type of dessert. However, Amy reached out to me and ultimately made the most delicious cake ever!
