“Hands down, truly the best ice cream in the area. Have been a customer for a while now and I haven’t been disappointed yet! The cookies and cream and specialty mint (leprechaun) are thick, creamy, and flavorful. It is also puppy approved! ✅“
“Enjoyed visiting in the Bristol store. So happy I can order my favorite Fishamajig from the senior menu. Even with a lactose intollerance, I can have the small serving of ice cream offered with the senior meal. Thank you!Wish there was still a shop in Torrington. I worked at the one originally in Torrington CT for years. Miss it!“
“I love carvel and if you have never been , or haven't been in there in a long time, you have to go. There ice cream is always fresh as are all the toppings. Prices are about average for quality ice cream. Service is always fast and friendly.“
“Ordered on the app while sitting in one of the stalls. Didn't take too long to get our food but they forgot an item. Pushed the button for assistance and no answer. Waited 10 minutes and saw 4 people go through the drive-thru. Got out of the stall and got in the drive-thru line. Got my missing item and some dessert. Overall I would go back there. It takes a little bit for your food but it wasn't bad.“
“Icecream flavors were fun and the scoop size is very generous. We had the black raspberry and charcoal flavors.Wonderful ambience. We went in December and so the decoration was holiday themed, but even otherwise I think the space lends to a relaxing atmosphere.Parking: Parking behind the buildingKid-friendliness: Plenty room for kids to sit around“
“Pat has been making a most pleasurable ice cream experience ever since he came to town. This is hands down the best place around with the most quality driven aspects to the deserts served. From variety of flavors, to innovative ideas; all brought together with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. You should make it a priority to stop in! 10/10!“
“This location is easy to get to and located near several other restaurants. If you like great landscaping with relatively easy golf holes, this is your place. They've put a lot of money into wood structures, waterways, and maintaining the gardens. There's even a section with herbs! Many times, you can see actual frogs in the pond (not just the nearby statue). They gave a section for kids afterwards where you can play on a wooden train or pirate ship. There's a gazebo with a round table inside it. There's at least a half dozen picnicking tables up on a knoll. On site food is 3 choices: beer (sometimes with pizza) for the adults, an ice cream section, and a grille. At the grille, seating was nice, prices were low, and wind attempted to blow away our napkins. We came here midday on a September Saturday and the crowds were steady but not overwhelming. Since it was the end of the season, there are a few minor repairs needed. Worn out wood borders were the most common interference (twice). One other downfall is that the mini golf ($9/adult on weekends and weekday evenings) is cash only. Food takes credit. Not sure why they'd rather have you use an onsite ATM than just pay for all by credit in one spot.“
“Friendly's is wonderful and this location has great food and service. Love their breakfast and of course their ice cream. The Avon location I have gone to since the 90s (when Blockbuster was next door) and am so glad this location is alive and well!“
“This location is great. The girls working here are always friendly and quick at their job. We always come in to get the Sundae Dashers and the staff is NEVER stingy with the toppings. Dairy Queen needs to hire these girls to teach them how to make a damn sundae.Dietary restrictions: They just came out with Oatmilk ice cream, if anyone has a dietary restriction.“
“Right near my house, nice family owned small businesses. Ice cream is great, prices are great and very clean. Some recommendations I have is to add more tables to sit at. My little ones can’t sit at the high tops. Also, take payment before you make the ice cream. I realized the last two times it was so difficult to pay after I had my cone.I would recommend some updating the interior and some painting/renovations to freshen the place up. Also, maybe add more chairs outside to the other side of the door, or even block off 1 parking spot right in front to add tables/chairs.Overall, great ice cream, super friendly caring owners who make you feel at home, great prices and service! Thank you Dunphy’s!“
