“Truly no other word aside from OUTSTANDING. I moved back up north a little over a year ago and have been on the search for the best Chinese food and truthfully, have found it here. The orange chicken 11/10 the sesame chicken 11/10 the pork fried rice 100/10. Don’t get me started on the pan friend dumplings. Next i want to mention the quantity vs. price. The amount of food you get with one combination plate can serve 2/3 meals for 1 person. The price is extremely affordable, somewhat shocking for the amount and how amazing the food is. Lastly i will state the staff. Amazing customer service when taking a take-out order over the phone. AND big props to the handsome young gentleman always working the register, always has a smile and wonderful vibe! Needless to say - i have been ordering takeout from this incredible place 1x a week and will continue! YOU should try it too! Best of luck ??“

“I will say I've been going here since about 2022. By far very good. And I've had Chinese before elsewhere and the crab rangoon here is perfect. It's not that puff pastry stuff that's flaky and falls apart. it's good. Some places usually have it salty this is not the case. Very fresh hot food. I've had the beef broccoli and the chicken with vegetables myself. Awesome. The family is nice. If there's any bad reviews they just Karen's that go out and wreck everything.. do not listen to them.“
“The server/owner was friendly and helpful. The food- General Tso chicken and Black Dragon chicken were our dinner entrees. Both entrees were hot and fresh. Black dragon meal had a little too much vinegar but was still fine. The owner was very kind and even brought us complimentary crab rangoon to try and they were very good. The egg roll was also good and fresh. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. The eating area had some flies that grossed us out and we had to shoo away from our food, until we eventually left. We also went to this restaurant for a to-go order of steamed chicken & vegetables and a quart of chicken noodle soup. The chicken & vegetables were great with the sauce on the side- especially when traveling and health conscience. The soup was okay- it was packed with udon noodles (didn't look like the menu photo at all) and did not have a lot of chicken in it. The owners are very nice and I like to support local, independent businesses, where the owners care about whether you return and want to make your visit enjoyable. When in town, I will return for a to-go order. * A couple of suggestions to owners: make sure to have bug catchers installed and away from patrons and remove the big storage cardboard boxes from the dining room. Patrons want a pleasant environment while dining.“

“This is the kind of hole in the wall Chinese place that makes you wonder why is it so hard to make good Chinese food? Sesame chicken was delicious, yes it’s light and dark meat but I didn’t run into any gristle or bad pieces. The beef lo mein and pork fried rice were right on point. I’ve been to so many bad Chinese places I just had to give this one five stars.“

“I mean, if you go into the experience with tempered expectations you're in for an easy win. You absolutely can not go wrong with the bone-in ribs, get a large cause you're gonna want more later. The wings are always awesome as well. I usually just eat there and watch everyone else come and go with their take out. Pro-tip, lunch is cheaper, grab some for later! Service is always top notch, no fooling around. Ambiance is what it is, 95% is take out so take it as it is and enjoy yourself!“

“Considering what I ordered it was all pretty good but the house lo mein was outstanding I thought and the prices were good. For instance I got a large burrito at Moe's southwestern grill and soda was 16 and change. I think the house lo mein is like half that and you get more.“

“I've been picking up doordashes here for about a year and the food always smelt phenomenal. After finally getting the food myself I can say I'm not disappointed. Perfect portions for the price, and delicious food. No 1. Kitchen is a must have“

“This restaurant has the best hot and sour soup. I’ve tried ordering it at other restaurants, but none have topped the recipe Hong Kong Star uses.“

“Joyful has the best Chinese food in the Plainfield area, wicked bummer that they NEVER plan to open the dinning room to allow guests to sit inside for a dine in experience. I will always come for take out — but it’s just the owners that don’t want to pay staff to work when they can make all their money in take out and pay the rent.“

“Its really just takeout. There are 2 small tables if it's only 1 or 2 people. But we do take outDietary restrictions: If you have allergies, peanut or shrimp, tell them ahead.Parking: It's in a parking lot with a few other businesses“
