“Ordered a LG. meatball pizza. The under carriage was cooked to perfection. It had a nice combination of cheese and meatballs and charred just right. The owners were cordial and pleasant. Highly recommended!“

“I had the Southern Fried Chicken and Leslie had the BBQ Fried Chicken. Lucky (our dog) was treated to some bacon and water for his 8th birthday by our waitress who couldn’t be nicer. Nice find!“

“I celebrated my birthday at the Seal tonight. We haven't been in a while. I had the Short Rib Ravioli, Mom had the Serloin Steak, my wife had Tuna and our son a grilled cheese. Everything was delicious! Our server said she was new, but did a great job. We finished with warm Carmel apple pie! It was the perfect ending to a great night!“

“Great little spot for your standard Chinese Take-out. Its not a "hidden gem" or anything like that, but the food is consistently tasty, hot, quick, and fairly-priced. I don't recommend dining in, though there are a few tables. They've literally never gotten an order wrong in the 5 years I've been going here maybe once a week or so (its an easy lunch/dinner, don't judge me).Basically, they perfectly do exactly what you'd expect a small American/Chinese place to do. Absolutely worth keeping on your list of "cheap & easy" takeout places.Big recommend on their Sesame Chicken.“

“Scotch plains is a great place to hang out and grab some American style food. Downstairs is a more sit down space for dinner/lunch. Upstairs is a fun bar with tables and high tops. Occasionally you can catch a live band. Games are always on the TVs. We went and caught an amazing live band and stayed well after dinner to have drinks! Get the potato chips to start, the dipping sauce is great. I had the burrata BLT, with balsamic and was not disappointed. Chicken Cesar salad was great with a giant crouton. Fun spot!“

“Had a great meal as always at Liv's! We love the food and service. When we arrived it was a little chilly, we notified our server we were cold and it seemed others were too and he requested the manager increase the temperature a little. After that, everything was perfect! One little nitpick is the tables are very sticky. We noticed it last time too. Not sure whether the coating failed or what. They were not ‘dirty' just sticky. Other than that, the food was amazing. My wife and daughter both had a Halibut special. My daughter had the cauliflower soup which I tried and it was spectacular! I had the tuna tartare and a ribeye and they did not disappoint! Certainly am amazing meal and great service. Thanks Liv's!“

“It's not Ichiran, but the Tonkotsu ramen honestly comes quite close (for me). For the middle of Connecticut where there's a major lack of good choices of ramen, this place hits the spot. It's also fast: I ordered, ate, and left within ~25 minutes. Will absolutely be coming back!Vegetarian options: Ask for replacements“

“4 of us had brunch on Mother's Day and it was very busy so our food took a bit longer than usual. My grandson had the burger which can't be beat. Awesome sandwich! my daughters both had the grilled cheese and one loved it while the other not so much because it had onions in it. The pomme frites are amazing. I had the asparagus soup and spring salad. Both were excellent. I thought 27$ was a bit high but it was a wonderful burger and came with pomme frites and salad.“
“I'm from Massachusetts and am lucky enough to have Tree House and Trillium very close by. World class breweries imo. Fox Farm is the Tree House/ Trillium of Connecticut. If your looking for the best craft beer/brewery in Connecticut look no further. This is the best by a mile. My go to every time I visit CT.“

“My Wife and I visited for our date night this week. We've lived in the area for 7 years, and somehow always found a reason to not give Cafe Routier a try. After visiting, our only regret was that we waited 7 years to come here for dinner! The service was top notch. Very professional and highly attentive. Our dinner was equally as amazing. We tried items from the spring menu, and stuck to the Iberia region offerings. The Moroccan half duck, Lamb Kefta, and Pollo Pepitoria were all delicious and extremely well prepared.Highly recommend, and we look forward to making an excuse to visit Cafe Routier more often from here on out!“

“The service was excellent. Cocktails were elevated, unique, and presented beautifully. 3 of our 4 meals were excellent and priced fairly. The steak dinner was the only disappointment. The cut of meat for a Prime Cut NY Strip Steak was too marbled and fatty. It felt more like a Ribeye Cut than a Strip and for $60 was a disappointment. The pasta dishes surpassed any past dish of any restaurant along the shoreline and the Roast Pork dinner from the trattoria menu was cooked to perfection. We will definitely visit again and won't order steak where the pasta is hand made.“
“Our favorite brewery to go to in the entire State of Connecticut. The beers are always rotating with various selections, and all taste great. The tap room is an awesome place to hang out and meet friends, and the staff is the friendliest and most knowledgeable we have met. The location in downtown Chester is very neat and the brewery is surrounded by different types of restaurants for all kinds of appetites. Highly recommend this small Brewery for a once in a lifetime experience.“

“Awesome customer service! I had 4 employees ask if I needed anything. One even brought me a huge selection of hot sauces, unprompted. Regular coffee refills (note that despite their name, it’s not a place that has lattes etc.). The pineapple and cantaloupe in the fruit salad are actually ripe, which never happens. Lovely experience overall. Would definitely return.“

“After a fabulous day of plant shopping, my mother and I were driving home and on a whim decided to stop in old Saybrook for lunch. So we parked on the main drag, got out of her car and immediately got on Google to see what restaurants were available in the vicinity. We quickly decided to try out Mirsina’s Restaurant not only because it looked like a lovely spot, but we both love Greek food. And boy were we in for a treat! Even though it was midafternoon on a Wednesday, the place was hopping. Right away we had a feeling we made a good decision. But then it got even better. The staff was crazy friendly, the food was amazing (all I can say is that we had the BEST Spanakopita of our lives . . . And the rice pudding? heavenly!). And the price? Just check out the menu - what a bargain! I wish that Mirsina’s Restaurant had a place in Stonington (Mystic CT) we would go once a week. So do yourself a favor, try this place out; I am convinced you will love it as much as we did. And tell them Heather and Sara sent you!“

“Fantastic spot for breakfast or brunch. Please be aware that the space itself is very small, however, the food is fantastic and the service time does not dwindle no matter how busy it gets. I absolutely would recommend the Apple brûlée French toast and the Lobster Benedict.“

“So happy I found this place! Super friendly and warm family owned restaurant that is very accommodating. As someone with several allergies, it’s not always easy to find quality, safe food. “WBP is a go-to for easy pickup on my way home from work for me. All of the ladies who work the front do a great job & the food never disappoints! I’ve tried pretty much everything, but my favorite is the chicken club grinder. The overall aesthetic is clean(!), fun & eye catching. They have slices of pizza readily available, a salad bar & soft serve ice cream. Definitely recommend!Dietary restrictions: GF pizza dough available“

“Had a wonderful birthday meal. It was the day before St. Patrick's Day so the specials were Irish oriented. My husband had the whiskey honey glazed salmon which he said was very tasty. My daughter had the traditional corned beef and cabbage and my son had Shepard's pie. Not much was left to bring home in doggie bags. Lots of nice wood paneling inside and we were seated near the fireplace. The grandkids even enjoyed it.Parking: The restaurant is right off of Route 9 in Old Saybrook. There is parking in both the front and the back of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Walk up ramp for a cess to front door and outdoor seating when the weather is nice.“

“Was told about this place by a friend when asked a good breakfast place. Came in and two different areas of seating. There are very many items to choose from. They have breakfast but also lunch items. I seriously didn't know what to choose, too many options. I looked at their 40 different options of pancakes and thought I definitely should try them. They came out as a very large pancake, as large as the plate. I got blueberry but could've chosen many different combinations. We ordered hashbrowns and eggs as a side. The blueberry pancake was filled with blueberries. Everything was delicious and the waitress was very pleasant. Definitely can't wait to come back and choose a different combination pancake. The prices weren't even that bad. When ordering water, not free, they charge you for bottled water.“

“33 Years in the same place, same staff, they must be doing something right, Great prices on excellent food. I've read the reviews from people that have given it 1 star. These must be people that can only accept 5 star service, and everything else is 1 star. I understand some of the things you complained about, and maybe you did have a valid point, but 1 star, and to imply that the waitress was suffering from dementia, come on, grow up. If you made reasonable criticisms, and rated fairly, people would take you seriously, but you just make yourselves look mean and vindictive. All over an undercooked omelette, etc.“

“? GET A BURRITO ?Alright, here’s the deal. I’m a gigantic shill for DRP, all my friends know it. Something about their pizza does it for me, favorite style, super well done for that particular style, and it’s relatively affordable.I also love their subs, all of them. Shout out to the steak bomb and the TKO (chicken bacon ranch, honey mustard, mozzarella). They’re quick, the people are always SUPER SUPER SUPER friendly, and food comes out hot.But here’s the deal… they need a rebrand.I’ve seen burritos on the menu there for years and never thought to get one. With that said, nothing about this place screams “Greek” to me besides the font on the menu and the Ακρόπολις on the logo (alright maybe a few of the specialty pizzas - moussaka and town hall, I see you. Gyros, ολα εν ταξη, relax.)Tonight I finally did it, I got the carne asada burrito that they had on special and it blew my socks off. For $12 (market rate for the area IMO) you get a huge burrito, wrapped and easy to eat, no dripping, they grilled it, tons of steak and avocado. Man oh man, it hit the spot and I’m just so happy I could cry.Deep River Pizza Mexican. I don’t know if anyone that works there is Mexican, I don’t know if burritos are inherently Mexican, I don’t know what I don’t know and I want to be better. What I do know is that people need to know about this.Chester, Deep River, Essex is grossly devoid of a Mexican spot that’s open late BUT this is at least maybe Mexican adjacent and open late enough for me (9 pm weekdays, 10pm weekends).Get down to Deep River Pizza (Mexican?) and get yourself a burrito. You’re going to be mad that nobody told you to do it before.I am thrilled.?Parking: Learn to parallel park in beautiful Deep River!Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids, it’s a casual pizza place.Wheelchair accessibility: Once you get on the sidewalk, which is accessible, the door is flush.“

“Such a wonderful and cool place! Welcoming atmosphere with people who enjoy working there. They have a garden in the back and grow some of their own food. Those cherry tomatoes were the best I ever had! I normally don’t even like them. Their coffee and lattes are top notch. The baked goods are amazing also. I was there yesterday, they had a chocolate peanut butter cupcake and lavender shortbread, both delicious! Everything is reasonably priced too, this place can’t be beat. 11/10 recommend“

“Celebrated Cinqo de Mayo by getting Taki's Taco Pizza at Leon's. First time trying Leon's pizza; we wanted Greek pizza, instead of apizza. The shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes came on the side, so they can be added on top at home to prevent hot, soggy lettuce. The first bite did not disappoint. A nice firm bottom and crust, with a good portion of toppings. We added black olives for an additional $1. The meat sauce had a little spice to it, which added a nice authenticity to it. Sour cream and salsa also came on the side. I'll be looking forward to trying some of their other specialty pizzas like the Mediterranean Pizza and Leon's Special Pizza.“

“Great local craft beer selection. Very good Chicago style deep dish pizza. We had the Ceasar salad and a small 2 Brothers Special pizza. The salad had fresh crisp romaine lettuce and tangy ramono cheese, but the Ceasar dressing was a little sour for my taste. The pizza was piled high with toppings, and the crust was crispy ?“

“This was a great little find for us! We went here for our first time recently! Walking in, it feels like an old school family pizza joint with big comfortable booths and friendly service. The pizza is definitely leaning towards New Haven Style, without being quite as charred. I ordered basil on my pizza and asked for as much extra basil as they could put on it. Places rarely do so when I ask, but Grand Apizza came through! My boyfriend had a pizza with sausage, and he loved it! We will definitely be returning!“
