We had an unfortunate experience with Grub Hub, but the manager at Geronimo stepped in - he was professional, well informed on the policies and procedures of Geronimo’s relationship and rights for working with Grub Hub, and in the end did the right thing by the customer and more.I am a business owner that focuses on the client experience, so I appreciate and want to aknowledge when a manger/company goes above and beyond because it is the right thing to do….for the client.I wish I had the manager on duty’s name, but hopefully Geronimo is able to link this review back to him and thank him.Andrea

We truly enjoyed our evening at Geronimo Fairfield on Saturday. The food was beyond delicious! The grilled octopus appetizer was phenomenal perfection. The mixed grilled was abundant and layered with terrific flavors from the meat and seafood all the way through the beans and vegetables that lined the bottom of the molcajete, if you have friends willing to share a dish this is a must try. The tequila library is bar none the best I have ever seen. Our waitress was friendly and gave solid recommendations. The shining star ? of the evening was the GM James Gross, his attentiveness and generous spirit truly made our evening exceptional. It was an incredibly busy night in the spot and James never missed an opportunity to make our evening feel like we were the only ones in the room. Chef Alex came out to our table so we could thank him for the amazing meal and he later sent out a special dessert which was a cheesecake topped with a mixed berry compote that was creamy and tart and sweet and simply divine! And to cap off this spectacular evening DJ Christie started her set at 9 and her skills on the turntables have to be witnessed, I guarantee you will be on your feet grooving to her beats. Seriously folks 10 out of 10 night at Geronimo Fairfield! Go there and make it your local spot for food, fun and tequila!!! Kudos to the team!

It's not easy to find southeastern style food in little ole Connecticut but we can thank Geronimo's for filling in that void. The guacamole is nice but I recommend adding some type of spice to waken up your taste buds. The chicken wings appetizer was intriguing because it was fried perfectly but was seasoned very daintily and had me wishing they weren't so shy with the spices. The braised chicken enchiladas were my favorite part of the meal, hands down. It's simple but done very well without flaw. My friend ordered the nachos borrachos, I didn't get a pic but I wish I did. The $28 price tag matched the quantity that was served. As the name of restaurant suggests, there is tons of tequilas and tequila cocktails to choose from. All the ones I've tried are incredible as the inviting descriptions suggest, but I found myself limited from ordering many more because they are on the pricier side. The place is usually bustling with good energy so a reservation is recommended.
Waitress and staff were very hospitable. The food came quick with a beautiful presentation. The food was delicious and waitress checked on us often. Excellent experience! Will definitely be back!

Me and my family entered this restaurant on 2/4/24 around 1:45ish and was disrespct by the young girl at the front desk (hostess?). She was rude with her approach. After being seated, we sat another10-15 minutes and no one came to take our order or even introduce themselves as our waiter/tress. There weren't that many customers and none that looked like me at that time, so I'm wondering what was the reason for such poor service.... can you guess? Unfortunately, due to the rudeness from when we entered, we left and went somewhere where we felt welcomed and treated with kindness.

I've never had any issues with the New Haven location, but the Fairfield one is a completely different story. I won't delve into past experiences with this place, and I haven't left a review until now. However, this incident was beyond unacceptable and deserves all the negative reviews it can get.To start, I ordered from them on DoorDash, even though I've had minor problems with them before that weren't review-worthy. I ordered Mac and cheese and quesadillas. I dove right into the Mac and took two bites. On the second bite, I felt something strange in my mouth. When I pulled it out, I discovered a piece of plastic inside the Mac. You can't imagine how disappointed I was to find plastic in my Mac and cheese.I contacted DoorDash, but as you probably know, they don't seem to care much and only offered a refund. I'm genuinely shocked that this restaurant in the Fairfield area serves such low-quality food. There's no excuse for a piece of plastic to be in my food. I could have swallowed it, or worse, choked on it.With all of this in mind, please avoid eating here. Maybe it's okay for a drink, but the food is clearly not being checked before it goes out. Who knows what else they're letting slip through. out and it was piece plastic. The plastic was inside the Mac. You have no idea how disappointed I was about finding plastic in my Mac and cheese. We went this place so called to be southwestern food on my birthday. The food is not good. I ordered tacos and they were so so.Our waitress forgot to place an order for my wife’s carne asada. It arrived in an hour. And worst of all it was like a shoe!! Seriously I would rather eat a bark. She couldn’t eat it of course.They made us pay for it!The dust & noise from the post rd + the horrible service + not so charming food + the margarita felt like it’s from a margarita machineHorrible experience. I'm sorry to say was very disappointed with the (special order) quesadilla I asked for. I called in for pickup a quesadilla with extra mushrooms, extra onion and extra cheeses. I had to repeat it 3 times but was assured all was good. Well, got it home, opened up the sealed box, and it was a cheese quesadilla with a couple of mushrooms and onions. Not at all what I expected. Doesn't seem like much to complain about but was charged extra so I thought I got what I asked for. Looks like you need to stick to the menu options.
