“Nice open space with simple decorations. Multiple TVs on wall. Got the 2 meat sampler, baby back rip and brisket, meat is juicy and falls off the bone, have a good smoky flavor. Surprise to see there are a lot of Asian dishes on the menu: PHO, dim sum, and a few Asian side dishes.“

“Walrus Alley, actually located in the basement of a building below another restaurant has a fun, pub feel, and was buzzing with both families and young people out for a night on the town. For appetizers, we ordered Pork Belly Burnt Ends ($18) and 2 Buttermilk Biscuits ($9). The pork belly was juicy, tender, and melted in our mouths, though flavorwise, ran a bit on the salty side. The pickle shavings it was served with were perfectly thin and served as a welcome bit of slightly sweet acidity to cut through the salt. The biscuits were heavenly; they were light and fluffy, baked with pepper on top, and served with a honey-siracha butter that made for a delicious bite. For entrees, we ordered Babyback Ribs ($25 for half a rack), Brisket ($19), sides of Mac and Cheese ($15), and French Fries ($5). The fries were fine, nothing to write home about, and lacking flavor, despite being crispy. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, but a little overwhelming in flavor. The ribs were quite nice, tender, and flavorful, but like the pork belly, were slightly salty. However, they were meaty and had the perfect amount of fat and bite to them. The biscuit was flavorful, though very slightly dry as if it had sat a bit before being served. Overall, despite a few points of inconsistency, Walrus Alley was a good dining experience. The volume of food relative to the price earns it marks, though be aware, you'll have to ask for water refills; the staff seemed to be lacking attentiveness in this area.“
