I have been hitting up breakfast diners / restaurants all over the northern Connecticut. I happened on Hans & Fritz thanks to a Yelp search. I had a Sausage, Bacon, onion and American cheese omelette and the food and service couldn't have been better. I highly recommend- it's inside The Exchange so no outer entrance. Go visit them, the conversations were great also!

I went to this place in the early morning after coming from work. It was the closest place besides dunkin so i figured why not. The cook was also the cashier. He scrambled for a mask when he saw me walking up to the counter. He played nice with small talk. I did not see him wash his hands prior to preparing my food nor did he wear gloves. I did not see hime use hand sanitizer. He touched my food directly. He then rung me up on the cash register without cleaning his hands and handled my money. I didn't eat the sandwich. I threw it away. Even if we were not in covid times, you still have to practice some amount of cleanliness.

Hans & fritz deli has great food, good people. Different sense of humor . The people who work there have a special relationship with their regular customers . If you do not know this then you may be caught off guard. I can assure you the people are not racist. Very jovial fun bubbly workers/personality.The cashier joked with customers and has inside jokes with a lot of them. She has said she been there for over a decade and know the people in the building very well. The owner is always very funny, silly and tries to give everyone a good experience .Try it out, enjoy food, laughs and conversation.

The breakfast is great, both tasting and in price. The cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and philly steak and cheese are some of my lunch faves. The French fries are always perfect. What I recommend most though, are the homemade soups.. Jim's chicken noodle soup has saved my life on more than one occasion :)

The food was very good and the pricing is very reasonable. Friendly and fast service I will be back for their Milk Shakes made to order with fresh Ice Cream (YUM). 2 Thumbs up for me.

This place is great always friendly and comically inclined! Love his food simple and tasty! If you have a weak stomach for jokes and personal conversations you should probably go eat at mcdonalds! And to some of the comments I'm reading in here I really dont understand how anyone happens to be white! Also dont believe there is such a thing as just white! See I paint my walls white. I've never seen an actual white or black person! I think some people are just color blind! Also I take the comment " happens to be white" as a fascist remark!

One of our favorite spots for an amazing breakfast. The place is clean and the owner is so eager to make sure you walk away full and happy. Prices are more than reasonable and the food is prepared fresh. He is also so friendly as well as all the customers we usually see on a regular basis.
