Very expensive for the quality of the food. The meat is slimy almost a synthetic feel to it,especially the chicken and beef. Also combination platters only come with plain fried rice. When I went to pick up my food I noticed an xtra $2 fee,I didn't realize that's how much they added for asking for pork fried rice with my combination. I also asked for 1 egg in the rice;another $2 fee. Now wait for the kicker,I grabbed a 2Liter coke, when I went to pay he said $5.00 for the 2 Liter LOL. I put it right back. I will never return.

First time ordering from here and was not disappointed. Chicken wings were fried perfectly and good quality. Egg rolls were yummy and could use a little more meat. General Tso's chicken was the best I have had outside NYC. I will be back!

Chinese Restaurants in CT and MA have become horrible over the years, the egg rolls are disgusting everywhere I go an the food has become mediocre at best. Now I arrived in Glastonbury and found Gourmet Wok...and I have to say this is my new spot for Szechuan & Cantonese food. The egg rolls were perfect, the food was fantastic and the service was stellar. Don't go anywhere else!!!! Gourmet Wok is the best in the area

This is a tiny place in a strip mall in Glastonbury, serving Chinese food and take out. Not much to comment about the service, the staff at the counter tee were friendly. Food comes out really quick and is prepared fresh and hot. I only tried the egg drop soup and a house fried rice. Both were delicious and served hot. The soup comes with a pack of wontons. I asked for the fried rice to be made spicy they gave me a cup of chill sauce at no extra cost. The cost is pretty reasonable for the quantity of food they are serving. If you would like a quick Chinese take out, I recommend going here. Will go back again to try more dishes.

Decent takeout Chinese food in convenient location. Nothing elegant. Quick service. Fried rice is an unusual yellow rice. Gotten takeout many times. PS, I hate the online convenience fee ($1.50). Online is more efficient and should be discounted.

Quick polite service but the crab ragons were empty.

Lunch a special Chicken wings with fried rice and a spring roll. $8.95. It’s taste just like it looks, amazing, crispy without all the batter.

I've lived in Glastonbury for over 20 years and have never tried Gourmet Wok. Last night, we decided to try something different than our normal place. BIG MISTAKE! It was the worst food that we have ever had! "Gourmet"?, it should be stricken from their name! The boneless spareribs were rank. The meat tasted like it was bad. We refused to eat it, fearing we would get sick. The teriyaki chicken appetizer, was flavorless and felt almost slimy. The pork fried rice and pork lo mein were lacking in flavor. The steamed dumplings were thin, soggy & lacking in flavor. The sauce that came with them was very intense, with a lingering garlic flavor. The "Sesame chicken" was "ok", though no sesames to be seen. We were really hoping that it was going to be a good experience and to expand our options. But we were sadly mistaken and will GLADLY continue to patronize Ming Bao, where we usually go and that the quality of food is FAR greater. I honestly don't know how they are still in business. I would highly recommend NOT going there and to go to Ming Bao or ANYWHERE else for that matter.

It's really bad enough. The price is expensive and unpalatable. The first time I ate Chinese food, I was so angry. The kale shrimp is actually made with small shrimp. I won't eat it for the second time.

I'm giving it 1 star based on the Crab Rangoon very disappointing there was basically nothing in them.
