“What a WONDERFUL little throw-back of a diner! The servers are absolutely charming (thank you to the beautiful, jewelry-making Christina), pricing is circa 1995, there's a great children's menu -- and there is clearly some skill in this kitchen, generally. I love that you get unlimited refills on coffee ($2), which was actually quite decent by diner standards. Where else can you find that nowadays?! Eggs were well prepared and fluffy across the board. I loved that my veggie omelet ($8.75) came generously filled with sauteed mushrooms, sweet peppers, and onions. It came with toast and a side of either fruit or home fries. The multigrain, which our server disclosed was from a bakery in NY, was fresh, well slathered with butter, and far better than it had to be as a non-headline component of the meal. Home fries were beautifully seasoned, though I do prefer mine a little more browned. Fruit salad on our visit included a slice of melon, a few grapes and a slice of orange.Our eight year old got a children's meal with one egg, home fries, toast and juice ($4.50). She enjoyed her fluffy scrambled eggs, which she ate sandwiched between two halves of a generously buttered English muffin. My only nitpick: You could taste a touch of margarine in the eggs, which I personally detest. Still, the food was head and shoulders better than (and half as expensive as) anything you can find at Mohawk Mountain, where we are usually resigned to grub. We are so, so thrilled to find this sweet little place a hop and a skip away from the mountain. It's a perfect place to refuel after early morning ski practice!”

“Goshen Pizza is a hidden gem! Easily, the best thin-crust pizza I've ever had, and their garlic knots are to die for! I remember the first time I went there when they had just opened, and they sure have come a long way with the renovations and additional seating area! Resmi, the owner, is a really nice guy, and his staff is excellent!”

“A favorite! I've lived 10 mins from AJ's for a long time and only started going this past year. Still have yet to have their pizza but menu items we've tried have all been excellent. The peppermint chocolate martini is a must at end of your meal - sooo good! Extra bonus is when they have Music Bingo taking place -- free extra family friendly entertainment.Kid-friendliness: Several families were eating dinner while we were there. May want to eat in dining room away from bar - sometimes people at the bar forget they are in public and language can get loud & colorful.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible - no steps.”

“This place is incredible, I tried three different dishes for my first visit and was really impressed by each one! I would recommend this to anyone, vegan or not!I had some delicious Cajun oyster mushrooms, with a killer remoulade, Buffalo cauliflower, and a special, vegan biscuits and faux sausage gravy.So all in all, this was the absolute most amazing vegan gravy I have had, the just eggs were perfect, scrambled, biscuits made me close my eyes for a moment.The gravy was excellent, little bits of breakfast sausagey bits floating around over crunchy perfect biscuits.I wish it was closer to my house !! I'd be there every day trying the rest of the menu, which looks amazing btw, I have to go back and leave with takeout next time???”

“My first visit was last February for my birthday. My friend had pre-arranged for the 5 course tasting menu/pairing. It was the perfect introduction to the restaurant and the culinary talents of Chef David. When a close friend had a milestone birthday I knew this would be the perfect locale given his Italian heritage. He’s picky on bread since he makes his own - he couldn’t get enough of it and was excited to find out it was made on site! Recently, when I saw the braised rabbit filled buttons I knew I had to return. Since it was just me and a last minute decision I was thrilled to get a spot at the bar. I can tell you the attention was exactly the same as if I were in the main dining room. First time visitors should splurge on the tasting menu! Grazie mille Chef David and the entire friendly team.”

“One of the better dining experiences that can be had in Connecticut. Michelin star quality without the price. The staff is extremely personable and makes you feel as if you are the only person in the restaurant. They are very knowledgeable about the menu. The presentation and taste of the food is exceptional. The food is farm to table with fresh ingredients. The dining room is dimly lit and intimate. The experience has been consistent the 5 times that I have visited.”

“I received a gift certificate & I really can’t use it. When E59 first opened. I did go there, because I think they opened earlier. Now, their hours of operation don’t cater to early morning customers. When I say early. I mean, at least by 8:00AM. Their hours don’t make sense for the type of business! It’s a five star business, except for their hours of operation.”

“Amazing!!! I stopped in Sat. 3/9/24. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with ham & cheese in Gluten Free bread. They toasted the bread and the egg was cooked to perfection! Such helpful staff and so grateful for the GF bread. I will be back.????”

“My husband and I love stopping in here for an occassional weekend breakfast/brunch. Staff are very friendly and make us feel at home. There are so many wonderful options for meals or small items, and the portions are a pretty good size! I always leave here feeling full and ready to tackle the day! Oh...and my husband loves it too!”

“Excellent choice! Food is very good, but I only give 5 stars to the extremely exceptional. I've eaten here several times. Our family has multiple allergies to food products, and they have easily accommodated without any issues. (Gluten, dairy, peppers). Staff is very friendly, though it is quite confusing when 4 different people are servicing your table. Most food is very good, however I ordered something new the other night a and the dish was saturated in a sauce that was very one dimensional. I couldn't even finish it, not did I bring it home. But really, that was one out of several meals.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to gluten, dairy and pepper restrictions. I am sure they would accommodate to others (except peanuts, I doubt they could not confidently avoid peanuts).”

“The kind of restaurant I'll remember as a "must-go" for years to come anytime I'm in the area. I started with the peasant bread, and that alone would have made the visit worthwhile. The beet salad, grilled salmon, and homemade ravioli were uniquely flavorful and fresh too. Between the classy and casual ambiance, the fresh food, and the top-notch service/ hospitality, West Street Grill delivered in every way imaginable and blew past all expectations. The staff are so passionate about their craft, and went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible dining experience. The entire staff and owner couldn't have been more welcoming. I'm confident this restaurant will host memorable meals and special moments for years to come. 10/10 recommend- I can't wait to go back. Thank you for a lovely meal!”

“The barbecue is great!!This is a MUST if you love barbecue. The portions are ample, and the prices a reasonable.This family run establishment is a real gem for this region.The food is ALWAYS excellent. And they're constantly changing and adding new menu items that customers are interested in trying.The ribs absolutely melt in your mouth. And the burnt end pork belly is spectacular.I could go on and on, but I think you get the jist.YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!They also have outdoor seating with picnic tables and umbrellas in the warmer months of the year.Come and get your barbecue itch scratched. ;)Parking: They have easily accessible parking right out front.Kid-friendliness: They gave something for all ages. “The food here is very good. Ate here for the first time for brunch on my birthday. Everything I ate was extremely fresh and flavorful. The dressing for the house salad was very good, the chicken tacos were some of the best I’ve had, but weren’t that hot when they came out, and omlettes and home fries are very good too. Only complaint I had was regarding the service. I can tell the service is generally good, but it seems like maybe I got unlucky. Our food was taking very long and we expected the salad and tacos to come out first since they were appetizers, but they did not. We were also brought the wrong omlettes initially so they had to be remade. Our waitress was still very nice, though, and our experience was good overall.”

“Incredible food, great service, and did I mention absolutely incredible food? They have so many vegan and vegetarian options which I really appreciate. The vegetarian breakfast burrito is amazing. The soups are great and everything on the cold salad bar is fantastic as well. Great for to go or dine-in, I recommend eating outside there's so much more space and it's very nice they have plenty of chairs and tables.”

“Personally my favorite place around to get the best sandwich. First timer today but High quality and extremely fresh meats/produce/cheese. The rolls were killer too. The store itself has a lot of cool items including Italian meats and desserts. Friendly staff felt bad I couldn’t tip with card but maybe you can will bring cash next time”

“Beautiful outdoor place to spend a weekend. Next to vineyard, there’s an Hopkin’s Inn unaffiliated however. We loved that’s there’s a live music. Sampled a variety of spirits. Wonderful atmosphere!!!”

“Wild how the universe brings people together and where the days as well as moments go. T'was my birthday yesterday and I was just rolling with the day. Started off working out then went for a hike in Morris. After that bumped into a buddy and started to geek out on some home roasted and brewed java. Then trying to keep the cup filled we ventured to the Krafted Brew Lab and I was enriched with flavors conversations and beautiful people. “Had a fabulous breakfast meal with my husband this morning. Great corn beef hash,sourdough bread was super tasty. The portions are well over anything you would imagine,so don't go crazy on your first order. Great home fries and the pancakes were so large,light,airy and tasty. Sausage patties were excellent.I cant wait to go back,soon!”

“I would recommend this bakery the owners are extremely nice and they have the best tres letche cake idk if I spelled that right but omg they have the best cakes a pretty big piece for 5 bucks or under and the other things they make are yummy as well. I love to get coffee and a piece of cake at least once a week from these guys.”

“By far the best coffee in Torrington! They make it just the way you ask, with a color chart for the amount of cream too. The mocha coffee is amazing. Prices are competitive and the ladies there are so friendly with quick service. I'll skip Starbucks any day for this local coffee place.”
