“Amazing!!! I stopped in Sat. 3/9/24. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with ham & cheese in Gluten Free bread. They toasted the bread and the egg was cooked to perfection! Such helpful staff and so grateful for the GF bread. I will be back.????”
“I just picked up our two Caesar Salads and brought back to our home as my wife was tired. Why would you buy them from some haute Cuisine place like the West Street Grill? Well, they are simply the best cuisine in Litchfield - even for a simple take out salad. Very nicely prepared with Parmesan in its own container and a rich Caesar dressing as well. While I was waiting I looked around at the people dining in a very relaxed atmosphere with nice Jazz music playing. I thought that we should have come here for dinner instead (as we have many times before) and had a treat dining out. You won't regret your visit here.”
“Incredible food, great service, and did I mention absolutely incredible food? They have so many vegan and vegetarian options which I really appreciate. The vegetarian breakfast burrito is amazing. The soups are great and everything on the cold salad bar is fantastic as well. Great for to go or dine-in, I recommend eating outside there's so much more space and it's very nice they have plenty of chairs and tables.”
“Wonderful dinner by the fire. Susie was wonderful, very knowledgeable and a delight. Crème brûlée, clam chowder, and the wedge salad were delicious. Will definitely come back.”
“It's not a Saturday morning without a trip to the Bakehouse. Sperlonga bread is outrageously good. Cupcakes, croissants and pies are hard to resist. Even the day old selections are still yummy”
“It has been quite awhile since our last visit to the Village restaurant, nothing has changed to our delight! Great Service, Good food and my favorite Fried Oysters is as good as I remembered. Such a wonderful meal in a charming pub setting in a beautiful town of Litchfield.”
“I've driven by Bantam Pizza for years, and I think before this only stopped once. It's a cute exterior, it clearly used to be a house with a big front porch. The restaurant has a front and side entrance, although the side opens into the table area and looks a little cramped. The front you have more space to take it in. It still looks homey, with a pizza counter in the back of the "sitting room". The menu is pretty big with selections. I ultimately chose a steak sandwich, which had meat that was well seasoned. The cheese ratio was pretty good for this part of the country, and the bread was fresh. The mozzarella sticks were exactly what you think they are, and a little oily. My poor shirt suffered. The Oreo cake was not made in house, but so creamy and chocolately, who cares? The waitress was really friendly despite multitasking while she worked. Check on a table, then unload a box of soda. Check on tables, bring something to the basement. Her speed and good cheer throughout was impressive. It was good food and a good experience!”
“They are located behind a gas station in Litchfield, CT. They rank up there with Bigfoot and UFO's in terms of things you might randomly find while driving. That being said, make the effort. Their pizza is awesome, with perhaps the most perfect crust I've had. Everything else on their menu is well done, too. Why does all the magic happen behind a gas station?”
“We went for breakfast. Service was great as usual. Kristen and Brooke are exceptional servers. Food was very good except the home fries shouldn't have been on there plate - 3/4 of them were black and we couldn't even bite into them. Literally 3 small pieces were edible. Disappointing. We no didn't say anything as we HOPE it's just a fluke. We will try again!”
“Love, love, love this place. Never had anything we didn't like and the staff is absolutely delightful!!! Very clean and cozy. Would recommend to anyone. It's cash only but there's an ATM inside.”
“I order 2-3 times a week , always the same sandwich right at opening. Every time without fail Carrie picks up the phone with a Good Morning Melanie! Can I start your sandwich? The team and the food are top notch, all smiles. Such a great spot to live around the corner from.”
“A wonderful atmosphere, warm & welcoming. The service was excellent. Our waitress was the chefs daughter who was very knowledgable about the menu. The main course was delicious as was the dessert. I'm looking forward to going back soon.”
“This has an all-you-can-eat menu, in addition to the standard menu. The quality of the sushi is phenomenal. Everything is delicious. We've never had bad food from here.”
“This was such an unexpected gem! Great menu options, service was impeccable, fun atmosphere and the food was amazing. Want to go back soon to try other things! Go if you have a chance, you will not be disappointed!”
“One of the better dining experiences that can be had in Connecticut. Michelin star quality without the price. The staff is extremely personable and makes you feel as if you are the only person in the restaurant. They are very knowledgeable about the menu. The presentation and taste of the food is exceptional. The food is farm to table with fresh ingredients. The dining room is dimly lit and intimate. The experience has been consistent the 5 times that I have visited.”
