Food was excellent. I had the bangers and mash and a French onion soup to start. Both were wonderful, and portions were huge! Next time I'm in Mystic, I will definitely be back.

Our waitress was absolutely amazing; I really appreciate her going and getting the ingredients list for the delicious relish to make sure it was safe as I have a food allergy. Everything was fresh, excellent quality, and beautifully presented. We will definitely want to come back next time we're in the area!

Absolutely fell in love with this tavern in Mystic’s downtown! This was the first place we had ever tried a scotch egg and we really enjoyed it! All of the food was delicious, and they had a solid corned beef Reuben. We visited while they had their winter cocktail specials and they were so adorable!! Such a cozy spot that we will definitely keep in mind for future visits to Mystic!

My co-workers and I have been eating at Friar Tuck's for quite some time when we are in town (maybe 3 or 4 times a year). The food is always good with plenty of options for all, including non-meat eaters. Again, we had a very delicious meal and an engaging server with a great attitude. However, I would like to comment to one aspect which just got under my skin tonight. There was a $1.00 up charge for substituting a Beyond burger for a normal burger. Not an issue if identified on the menu or the server would have mentioned (there is a good chance they did not even know about it). It felt like a dirty move from the owner to charge extra for a substitute like this and not recognize the removal of the bacon from the sandwich (often an up charge item as well). Friar Tuck's is not the only location to pull this kind of move and it just bothered me enough tonight to comment about it. Long live Friar Tuck's but hopefully, be a little more considerate on what truly constitutes an additional charge. See you soon.

Called at 8:50 to place a pickup order. He said “pick up orders are all done for the night.”So I said “is the kitchen still open?”Guess not; he had already hung up before he could even hear my follow on question. What terrible service. I know for a fact their kitchen is open till at least 10:30 PM. Why is making food any different whether it’s pickup or dine in?

This was such a great place. I was getting work done on my car in the area and found this place on Google. I asked the repair shop if they had heard of the place and they definitely recommended it. I'm so glad I came the place is amazing. The people the food, the bartender Danielle...all perfect. I live far but will have to make an excuse to come back.

Stopped in on Sunday for a drink and light lunch. The crock of french onion soup was almost raw onion in a weak broth, I did not eat it.We were there about an hour, never got a drink refill and never saw our waitress agian. Asked for the check and commented on the soup and got a blank stare. Paid in full and left a decent tip anyway. Would have been nice if someone seemed to care.

Came here to watch football for the playoffs. It was absolutely freezing inside. Ever one was wearing their jackets. It was ridiculously cold. The service was slow and the wings weren't crispy. Overall very

A busy place with a few seats and an outdoor, covered space for overflow. A busy Wednesday lunch service. Good beer and whiskey selection.
