Terrible experience. The manager took three real IDs from out of state and claimed they were fake. We are all 22. And I had a military ID to prove it was real, and they proceeded to deny us service. They were extremely rude and demeaning. God forbid anyone from out of state goes to Magrs, because they will not serve you. Never going again. 0/10

Food was ok but the ginger margarita didn’t taste like it had any ginger or alcohol. It tasted like frozen slushy with sugar only. The hostess didn’t want to sit us in a booth even though the place was almost empty. The waitress cleaned a table and let us sit in a booth.

Loved this place for the past 20 years but recently the food has been super spotty. Tios super burrito came with wilted discolored lettuce on top and the inside was completely inedible with what I can only describe as canned meat in gravy kind of taste. The onions on top with the lettuce smelled up the whole table and were obviously spoiled, we had to send it back and didn't ask for a replacement. A few weeks back we got a wet quesadilla extravaganza that was actually dripping, it was disgusting. I won't be going back until something seriously changes.

If there was a way to give negative stars, I'd be diving into the minus realm. I was promised a mere 20-minute wait, but it turned into an epic 3.5-hour saga that I didn't sign up for. I stayed patient, dreaming of the feast to come, only to be served what I can only describe as the chef's take on "Eau de Wet Dog Food." It was as if they mistook the recipe book for a pet food guide. A truly unforgettable gastronomic misadventure - and not in the good way. Save your time and money and just crack open a can of pedigree before dining here.
I had a party of five go to Margaritas in Mystic on 2-10-24 and we had what May have been the worse “Mexican” food ever. The service was awful but since it was the servers first day we took that in stride. But there wasn’t one thing we were served that was even decent. I spoke with a manager who said they would take two items off of our bill but when we got the bill there was actually $100.00 added to the bill. So I had to talk to another manager who when I asked to see the bill before I paid it got super shorty with me and said that they can’t do that because it’s on the handheld card reader. The whole experience was awful. Stay away from this place.

I go to college in the area and i absolutely love Margaritas. The bar area is a great hangout spot with friends, the staff is always friendly and responsive, and the food is delicious!! I also love the $6 margarita specials at night and how it changes every month! My personal favorite is the chicken baby chimi's appetizer for dinner, along with chips and queso for the group. I told my parents about this place and brought them here to show them our hangout spot, and they were also pleasantly satisfied with their food and margaritas! I have now brought them back one or two more times since because it is always a friendly environment and fun time!
