“We stumbled upon this place and the owner was amazing and welcomimg. The bartenders were just as pleasant and friendly. We stayed and ended up enjoying our entire evening there and felt like family by the time we left. We couldn't leave before enjoying Chaz's delicious food... The fish platter is a must try! We have definitely added this on our list of places we will frequent when needing a nice drink and great atmosphere.“
“Very nice staff, I love the coffee and drinks bar here and the bread is delicious of course and my favorite salad here is the green goddess Cobb salad, look at how beautiful it is. Great place to stop by for lunch. Large space that can seat many people inside.“
“Had to rub my eyes to make sure that I was in New Haven because this restaurant stepped right out of Manhattan. Each dish we enjoyed was recommended by our sever as was the fabulous wine too. The chef introduced himself before seating and checked with us just as our larger plate arrived. He added very much to the overall ambiance.“
“Been hearing a lot about Grey Goat and finally got to go today for happy hour. The drinks were delicious and unique. We love our jalapeno margaritas and blackberry bourbon smash! Very fancy. We had the chicken salad cups and the deviled eggs, delicious! Love the atmosphere and so many good products that are local to shop for. Excited to go back especially because they change their menu weekly!“
“every drink i order here is always delicious, and as if magic, always comes out at the perfect drinking temperature. the staff are super friendly and always a pleasure to interact with. the atmosphere is unique and chill feeling. there is no better coffee out there, this is hands down the place to go!!“
“I saw 5 for food basing it off the amazing drinks. They do have pre packaged snacks which the adult snack pack was so good w dark chocolate almonds and fresh cut cheese. But the drinks were the show. The bartenders are so talented. I'm not a bourbon drinker but the male bartender made this smoked marshmallow drink that changed my mind. It's a small space but totally worth it!!!!“
“Fabulous food, wonderful atmosphere and great staff. Noise was a bit loud, but being in a booth made all the difference. Our waiter was great, but very busy and he had a lot of tables so it took awhile to order. He was great after that - very attentive and many other helpers. Our 3rd time there and definitely my favorite spot in New Haven!!!“
“Today I had lunch there for the third time with a dear friend.I have to say everything I’ve had has always been incredibly delish! The macaroni salad is to die for— I could eat that by the bucketful! The owner, Jenna, is a delight. I watched her fastidiously arrange fresh cut flowers today. The place is adorable, the servers are terrific, and her chef is amazing! I’ve got to get there sometime soon for their breakfast.Loooovee the place. Go there. You will NOT be disappointed!Katherine Kennedy ?❤️?“
“I appreciate the remedy's Culture cafe so much! Their Kimchi is the best! You always feel healthier just walking in there. Surprising variety of condiments and smoothies and even supplements and teas. Jog don't walk to their cozy space on State St.“
“Very fresh food. I ordered falafel and hummus. It was super fresh and tasted good. I would suggest to add salt and some more flavor, it will take it to really next level. Vibe of the place is super cool. Also place is run for the very good cause. Highly recommend! Good veg, vegan and gluten free options.Vegetarian options: Good veg, vegan and gluten free options.Parking: Street parking with app to pay“
“The Eatery did not disappoint! We were on our way back to MA and ordered breakfast sandwiches (B.E.C) and coffee to go. The coffee and sandwich were both amazing. Half of their sandwich was plenty of food and filling, but it was so good you had to eat the other half. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to go back on our next trip to Connecticut.“
“Quality of coffee: 4 - good espresso drinks. I've tried them a couple dozen times and they have become more consistent this past year or so. There are flavoring options like hazelnut etc. Coffee (black) is slightly above average. Atmosphere: 4.5 - great seating areas and nooks in a historic hotel. Usually, students are studying at the various tables. Location: 5 - heart of downtown within walking distance to hundreds of restaurants and great bus/train service. Service: 5 - helpful staffValue: 4 - decent pricing Average: 4.5I can't recommend food options, as I've only had coffee here.“
“If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would! I've been here many times and it's unbelievable but we hosted a bridal shower there today and it was beyond fabulous!!! From the super amazing staff, to the delicious food and the beautiful decor it was definitely a day to remember!“
“Legacy is the best!! I am there everyday to get my protein shake and full mega tea! Marta and Iris are amazing and so welcoming to everyone who steps foot in the door! Every shake and tea are awesome (trust me i’ve tried them all!) Support your local small businesses!“
“Just popped over to the cafe to grab a bite after reading reviews and was NOT disappointed! Tom was at the register and simply a pleasure to talk to. He recommended one of their egg sandwiches which was delicious (this means a lot coming from someone who isn’t a huge egg fan!); toasted with garlic salt, real white cheddar, a fried egg, and bacon- yum! Also grabbed a dirty chai and some fruit/walnut biscotti. Truth be told I’m having a hard time picking a favorite; the atmosphere and friendliness combined with the dynamite food will definitely make Cedarhurst my go to spot for traveling here in the future!“
“Truly the best coffee in New Haven. Great pour over selections and the most talented baristas I have seen on the espresso side. Great spot to spend an afternoon with friends or alone, good place to work. They now serve wine at night Thursday to Saturday“
“Nice place for a morning. Great food, good service, good atmosphere. I ordered a hot chocolate (not a coffee guy), a Belgium waffle, and a side of bacon. All of that food was amazing and I highly recommend this place if you're bored and hungry in the morning! Good cafe!“
“Sad. No one wants to attend to you. Need new bartenders who enjoy the art of mixology and people. ...,. Heavy D is in the kitchen. This season hopefully the outdoor patio will be expanded and muscle marinara mimosas could be served on Sunday mornings. Looking forward to it. I love this place.“
“For those who live in the Cheshire/Prospect/Waterbury area, CHECK OUT NEWBROOK KITCHEN!!!! Fun and funky atmosphere and truly, some of the best food I've EVER eaten. Chef/proprietor Danielle Hartog Kostecki is gifted. A six-course meal that ranged from gnocchi over a spinach-artichoke purée to Wagyu beef sliders over sweet potatoes with a bleu cheese "fondue," this was an epic meal. And everything is "quietly" gluten free. Check out her website and make a reservation, you will thank me. You're welcome!“
“Lovely very friendly staff. Coffee is a solid 4/5, could go for a slightly more flavorful bean, but I happily drank it. Baked items are pretty good as well. It has a decent footprint but not a lot of seating which was fine but they can do better.“
“Best pancakes ever! We drive out of our way to eat breakfast here. The food comes out hot and delicious, and we've always had good service.Kid-friendliness: This is a warm, casual environment with tons of choices for everyone in the family.“
“I can not express how amazing this little Cafe is. Every single time I am here I am so grateful for their amazing service, kindness and delicious food. Every single one of the girls working here are literal angels - thank you for helping to make my stressful Sunday work day the best possible and for helping me start the school year with an amazing assortment of treats for my students. ?? Unlike any other!!!!“
“Went there with a group. It was busy in bar with limited seating so plan ahead. Everyone had a good time and was happy with their food. My doob wings were fantastic as well as the burger. Maddy our server was witty and dealt with our nonsense like a true pro. Definitely coming back.“
“Came here for the first time after living in the area for 30 years. It was a fundraiser and was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. This is a local establishment that has many loyal customers, especially during Saint Patrick. They had eggplant rotini , it was delicious. They also had stuffed mushrooms. That were very good. They also had two versions of stuff, potato skins, and breaded fried fried chicken. They were good. Nice small local place to gather and eat good bar food.“
“A M A Z I N G!!! The food is absolutely delicious. My husband and I were down this was running errands. I decided to look on yelp and see what's good and what would peak my interest. I love a good empanada. Very small quaint place. No inside seating but on a nice day there was a couple tables outside. I ordered white rice and beans for my husband, who is super finicky. I ordered one shrimp and one chicken empanada, pernil on a roll and mango cheesecake. Delicious! My husband said it's the best rice and beans he's had in a long time. Empanadas full of flavor. I actually don't really love pernil because people cook it so dry. This pernil was so flavorful, moist and juicy. Delicious. The mango cheesecake was just the right sweetness. The sandwich I gave half to my husband so I'd have room for the cheesecake. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Food took about 7 minutes to prepare. If you're in the 5 highly recommend trying it out.“
