HORRIBLE BUSINESS... takes your money, then cancels the order, and now you're out $100 for the next 14 days while they "process your refund", and CLOSED on a Friday night?!?

I ordered trays for a party of 35--chopped pork, rotisserie chicken, baked chicken, and cole slaw. Everything was delivered on time and the quality of the food and service were outstanding. Great people too.

On 06/24/21 I went to T.O.P BBQ in New Haven, CT to support the local establishment. The counter staff was very pleasant and very informative of the menu. Originally I ordered a fish sandwich just to give it a try, but the staff encouraged me to try some of their sides. I am sooo glad they did. My order was fried flounder, potato salad, collard greens, and mac and cheese. When I opened the container, the presentation of the food presented very well. I learned from working within the field, you eat with your eyes first. The food looked really good. So I took a bite of the fish and it was sooo good!!. It was fried to perfection, whoever seasoned and cooked it, knows what they are doing. I found myself looking at the fish, I mean, I made eye contact with the fish. Lol!! The Mac and cheese is also really good. The greens was ok. The cornbread that comes with the dinner was also good.I encourage anyone from far or near to try this place you won’t regret it. Also to everyone, I thank you for the great hospitality. That means a lot within this industry, it can make or break a business.Take Care??‍?

The proprietor was very nice and knowledge but everyone forgot to put on masks and nothing was said. I guess maybe because there were only 3 people in the establishment at the time.

The salmon, the purée sweet-potatoes and mixed vegetables taste scrumptious! The red sangria is tasty, too; I had mine extra sweet. The bartender/host was very nice.

I stopped in here hoping to support black business and I hate to do this but the food I ordered was gross. Maybe you have to go on certain days become there are mixed reviews but I attempted to eat it over the course of two days and I ended up throwing 95% of it in the trash. I got chopped bbq, mac and cheese and collard greens. The bbq was overcooked and too much oil as to cover up the dryness. I added bbq sauce to attempt to dress it up and it made it worse. Mac and cheese was mushy and had no taste. The greens are indescribable nothing like I've ever tasted and my family is from the south. Not worth the money!!

Wanted to try a new BBQ place, reviews were great, and are very well deserved! Got the chopped BBQ sandwich platter and BBQ chicken dinner. Sides were uniformly great, corn bread even better than mine, which is saying a lot, chicken tender and delicious. generous portions. Will be back! Thanks for a great birthday dinner!

I heard the food was great and wanted to support a Black owned business. Then I found that he's delivered over 5,000 meals to firefighters in Hamden, correctional officers, nursing homes, and New Haven firefighters. He's also kept his long-standing weekly donation to the homeless. I decided that I absolutely HAD to try it!I had the BBQ rotisserie chicken dinner and chose baked beans and coleslaw as sides and got an extra side of potato salad to go with leftovers. Well, there were NO leftovers. That chicken was so good I darn near licked the plate! The beans were delicious and the slaw creamy. The potato salad is wonderful and I had to make myself save some for the next day.My sister had the Chopped BBQ Sandwich Platter, which includes fries and coleslaw. She said the fries were very good and loved the beans. There was so much BBQ left that she had enough for lunch the next day. Both meals came with the best cornbread we've ever eaten. I know what I'm eating next Saturday and I suspect my sister might order the chopped BBQ platter again, if she doesn't opt for the ribs. The food at DPerv's is freaking amazing. I'm kicking myself for living here for so long and never trying it before. I got a lot of meals to make up for. Do your mouth a favor and stop by. You sure won't regret it.
