My first experience at Funcles Cafe is probably all I need to know this place is great. My fiance got the steak and cheese sandwich and I got myself the Chicken and waffles. Both options were exceptionally delicious. The waffles come with plenty of maple butter syrup which is great for someone like me who needs plenty to be satisfied, as well as having plenty of chicken included. The steak sandwich had the perfect blend of ingredients which all came together to make a great lunch sandwich. Both options were also priced very reasonably and I noticed that every other option was priced just as well. Can't wait to come back and try the other dishes!The inside had somewhat limited seating space but also had quick to-go services for those not looking to sit down and eat.

This place is phenomenal!! I got the shamrock shake and their famous chicken and waffles. I think the whole thing cost me $20, and it was well worth it.The shake was huge. I could have made a meal of that on its own. I liked the chocolate on the sides, the maraschino cherries were yummy, and it was minty without tasting like toothpaste.The chicken and waffles were the highlight of the meal, though. The syrup is legit maple syrup that is bordering on maple sugar - it's clear it's great quality and it isn't the cheap syrup most stores buy. I think it may even have been local. Basically, anything I didn't use, I kept because it was soooo good!!The chicken literally melted in my mouth. The batter outside was crispy and flavorful, and it stayed on the chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and I was seriously in heaven!! For those who are interested, I think the chicken is chicken breast.The waffles were nice and thin. They were slightly crispy and very good with the syrup. The best part is they complimented the fried chicken perfectly. Usually, when I get chicken and waffles, I tend to eat them separately but this meal really was better together.I'm extremely excited we found such a good breakfast place and we will be back again!

The dining room was adorable and comfortable. The food was delicious. I had the eggs Benedict, and everything was amazing - The eggs were cooked beautifully, the hollandaise was super tasty, the potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. Easily the best breakfast I've had since moving back to CT about a year ago.I also ordered the frozen matcha drink. It was good, really rich, but not super strong on the matcha flavor.Parking: Funcle's is part of a plaza and parking seems to be a bit of a grab bag. We found parking quickly, but noticed some confusion in the parking lot as more folks arrived to the lot.

Recently discovered this little local place, and have already been here twice within the last two weeks. This spot differs from other places because it has a little more options than your average breakfast place. The menu is quite unique with a focus on aiolis. I would definitely come here on an empty stomach because the sandwiches are quite filling. I've had the king sandwich which is sausage egg and cheese with a hash brown and maple butter. It was delicious and kept me good until almost dinner time. next time I will ask for a little bit less maple butter or on the side just because it was sweet like a syrup. Looking forward to trying other breakfast sandwiches. I've had the buffalo chicken wrap, which was also quite filling but I think the breakfast hits better at this spot.

My husband and I love this place! Lots of college kids coming through but this place cranks it out. Amazing every time. Eggs Benedict should only ever be made with a biscuit. And the breakfast burrito with chipotle aoili. Omg. I'd rate 6/5 if there were fancy coffee/latte options. They should partner with Crossroads!

Called to ask to have a item cooked a certain way for my son due to food diversion issues and was told no we won't do that especially on a weekend. And that certain item it's probably one of the easiest things to make. Now I have never been to this restaurant before and was going to give it a try. But I guess I'll never know because that was a complete turn off to me. I'm not the type of person to leave reviews but it has to be done especially when the person on the phone was very rude about it.
