The staff is very friendly and courteous, the food is of excellent quality and the place indeed has a charm to it with a very good vibe. And that amazing view is certainly a cherry on the cake.

You feel special the moment you walk in and are treated with care. Unlike some places, on20 is not pretentious and stuffy. I asked many questions and my server was happy to explain. Not over crowded like some places, quite an intimate dining experience. Loved the complimentary amuse-bouche and mini desserts. Free parking validation--a real perk too! The cheese platter was the tastiest I have ever had. Best drinks in town thanks to the bartender, Jeff, who is also very nice and knowledgeable. This is a special place I can't wait to get back to.

Given the fact that it was a holiday, the food was excellent. Four of the five courses were outstanding. The velouté course was a disappointment and lacked flavor. They also served an oyster amuse bouche that was outstanding. Service was uneven. It seemed that they didn't have enough staff to make it seamless. All in all, we'll definitely return.

The atmosphere at ON20 on Valentine's Day was fairly nice. The set menu had some nice options, but overall we didn't feel we received our Moneys worth. It was a so-so experience but not worth what we paid.

Amazing server (from cleveland LOL if you get her you won't regret it), fire bartender s.o to Jeff for an amazing cocktail. Great food, amazing service. Definitely recommended!

Food was very good. Our reservation was at 6:45 and we get like we were some of the youngest people in the place. The Bar is very good. We were very surprised that the menu was fixed. The website has a much broader menu.

This was our first time dining at On20. We made our reservation a month or so ago, not knowing that it was Restaurant Week. On20 did call us ahead of time to let us know this, and we opted to keep our reservation. We arrived on time for our 7 p.m. reservation. We were sat immediately. Our server was nowhere to be found. We weren't even able to place drink orders (through a different server) for 20+ minutes after sitting. The server (younger, long black hair glasses), was a ghost for nearly our entire meal. She was slow in retrieving our drinks from the bar. She was gone even longer when we wanted to place food orders. We ordered a second drink after the first course, which she forgot at the bar. The bartender brought them to our table. My cocktail was warm which meant it had been sitting there for some time. She did not clear any plates or bus the table at all. We tried to order another drink just after our main course arrived. She took the order, but forgot to put it in. When she finally came back (after we were finishing our desserts), I asked her to cancel the order (she conceded she forgot it). The food was also underwhelming. The veal was fatty and the flavors did not mesh well. I expected much more from On20 given its reputation. I would have a very hard time returning and giving them another shot. I worked in the service industry for 10 years. Though I like the idea of a forced service charge for the staff, I can't help but wonder if it disincentives good service.

The menu was limited because of Restaurant Week. It was fantastic. Highly recommended.

First, the location is tremendous. ON20, being on the 20th floor provides a phenomenal view of Hartford. The presentation of the food was impeccable and the food itself was excellent. This is a must visit restaurant in Hartford. It is a great place for a couples out night.

Great ? food. Very original presentation. Service was excellent and views spectacular! Went there for restaurant week so menu was limited to that but still great choices ! Plus bottles of wine were half off ! Will be back for sure

Usually this place is fabulous...all 5s....but this time partly due to the "Taste of Hartford" menu limitations, the food was sub-par. The veal especially, was very fatty, the pasta had an odd tasting spice, and the quail egg appetizer was mostly bread. Not up to normal standards.

Food just OK; overall not up to usual standards. Steak was cooked perfectly, but served practically cold. Service ragged—twice we were brought dishes for other tables. They really need a reset.

I absolutely would recommend this restaurant to a friend or family member. It was my birthday and my date suggested that we dine there. We had an amazing time. The food was unique to my previous dining experiences, so I didn't know what to expect. The food (starter/main course/dessert/champagne), live music, view, and visit from the chef were all very memorable. I left with all smiles!

We have long considered ON20 to be the best dining experience in Greater Hartford. Not so on Saturday night. The hosts seemed a little hyper, as did our waiter. Worst of all -- we were there (and they knew this) to celebrate my husband's birthday -- and had requested one of our favorite tables overlooking the river. My husband ordered the quail which arrived seriously undercooked. He asked our waiter to have it cooked more. Meanwhile, our friends and I had our dinners in front of us. We waited a few minutes, but when it seemed that my husband's entrée was not going to arrive anytime soon, we ate. It was close to 15 minutes before my husband's cooked entrée was served. By then, the rest of us had finished eating. All in all, this made for a most disappointing evening [except for the lovely live piano-bass combo] - and further, the restaurant offered us nothing to compensate. The bill for just my husband and me alone was $266. We don't mind paying that kind of money when the dining experience has been top flight. This was anything but. I don't think any of this would have transpired when Jeff Lizotte was executive chef.

On20 was delicious and so accommodating with my dairy allergy. I told them once that I needed everything to be dairy free when I made the reservation with the host. When I got there they had already picked out the items I could have from the menu. And let me select from 3 options for the appetizer and meal. I loved the atmosphere. I mean really what you're paying for is the gastronomic experience. The portions were like a Michelin star restaurant, super super tiny. The food was excellent but unfortunately I had to eat some bread to feel full when I left. Everything was displayed like a piece of art. The wait staff were incredible. But again, the portions were so tiny. Our bill was $450. For $450 I should not be leaving hungry. If I'm paying that much, I need to leave feeling full.
