“This pub - and I cannot stress this enough - is easily one of the top restaurants in Hartford. I came here on a Monday night and it's one of the few restaurants that's actually open late on a Monday night.I apologize to everyone for not taking pictures. You deserve them after this visit... And I let you all down!!!I'm here for 1 night... I got in late and had 1 shot at a great meal and some local brews... The bartender didn't disappoint. The locals were all touting the usual... Fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage... And I don't want to insult them... I'm sure they are both great (especially after tasting my dinner). But... I had an order of wings and the steak tip dinner. The wings are EASILY in my top 10 that I've had... And I travel the country for business specifically trying certain dishes (wings specifically) to compare to others. They fall off the bone, aren't smothered in a sauce so heavy that it's unpleasant, and somehow still crispy. They pair extremely well with the bleu cheese that they have. Note to the owner... Don't change your Bleu Cheese.Now... On to the steak tips. These were Ridiculously good. Probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Rivaling some of the big names like Ruth's Chris and Del Monico. Melt-in-your-mouth delicious charring, absolutely incredible demi. Absolutely the best dinner I could have asked for.Jesse was my bartender and he knew just about everything about all of the beers I tried... And the food that I tried.Absolutely one of the best business trip meals and overall experiences on record.Kid-friendliness: Decent kids menu. Not the best I've ever seen... Built definitely did put some effort into developing it.“

Carne Frita Con Tostones

“I read some of the reviews about this spot and had to come and check it out for myself. When I entered Roma's for lunch, there was one other person at the bar and then a gentleman setting up TV's behind the bar. He came over with a Menu after taking my drink order. I decided to go with their honey bbq wings, New England clam chowder and Hawaiin Burger. The guy behind the bar was friendly and kept striking up conversation with myself and the other gentleman. My wings came out and I must say, these golden temptations weren't just slightly crisp but met my tastebuds with a sweetness about them, that when dipped into the blue cheese; only set off a powerful bite that was creamy and a bit tangy. I had fun with the rollercoaster of taste upon these wings. As for my Clam Chowder. It was chunky and had much going on. Clams came packed with a degree of seasonings that started out good but ended in a bad way for the chowder was a bit too salty. This chowder would be the perfect start to. any meal in the winter, had it not been for the saltiness of it all; taking away from what could be its own star of a chowder show. Now my fries, bliss in a bite with just the right amount of salt upon them and a crispiness to be reckoned with. Even the burger made my mouth happy with its freshness on the beef; made to order. Didn't taste like frozen pot luck beef at all. Seasoned just right and the pineapples, along with onion crisps held enough flavor to transcend this burger into the next phase of its life...The bun was toasted both inside and out, holding the components together for a nice barrage of burger bliss. Not bad at all!“

“Recently hosted a 40th Birthday at Iron Horse and cannot rave enough about the event. Frank, the Manager, was incredibly helpful and responsive, which made planning the party for 60 people really simple. They were able to assist with bringing in a Trivia Master and the place looked amazing with the decorations we bought. The food and choices were awesome - everyone raved (get the egg rolls!) and all in all it was the perfect evening. Can't thank Frank and his team enough for making the evening such a huge success and we'll definitely be hosting parties there again!“

“The place is a little quirky....everyone seems to know everyone so its a little intimidating at first but the staff is welcoming and the beer selection is fantastic. The only food I've had is the roast beef sandwich which was suggested by another customer and she was right on. It was fresh, warm and pretty tasty. They had trivia going on when I was there and it seemed well received. The building is old and unique and the fireplace makes the room. Parking is a little tight but its not a big deal to park across the street. We have been twice now and its a do again for sure.“

“Sat at the bar and shared a couple of beers. Our bartender was very attentive, and checked up on us frequently. The bar area was clean and so was the bathroom. We came at an off time so it wasn’t busy. It was nice that day, they had the garage doors open with some tables sitting in that entry way. A bit too chilly for me, but some people were taking advantage of the fresh air. We didn’t have any food.“
