Most racist restaurant everI've actually been to Salute Restaurant many times before, but my last visit made me heated. An elderly male server was rude to me and my friends from the moment we order the food. He seemed annoyed for no reason.When my food came, I asked for more parmesan cheese.The server said they were out for the day. But then, I saw him give more cheese to another table later. This made me feel like he wasn't treating us the same as other customers.I also noticed that the server added an extra 18% for only party of 4 tip to our bill. I've never seen this 18% was added on my previous visit here. I did tell him to remove it because he was extremely rude and disrespectful.These experiences made me feel like the server was treating us unfairly because we are minorities. This just isn't right.Everyone should be treated with respect and kindness.

Located right in downtown, whether youre dropping by after work for happy hour or in town for business/pleasure, the experience - from the welcome to the service to the food was great. I'm not in town often, but this is my new favorite spot when in Hartford. The chicken parm is delicious, the meatballs are baseball sized and I'm told reheat wonderfully - I'll never know because I finished them there. Believe me when I tell you, you'll be saluting the good folks at Salute and looking forward to your next visit, I know I am. Thanks again!
