“You get what you pay for and at Buttonwood you're getting very fresh ice cream that is locally made along with some tremendous flavors and you're paying a premium price for it. Cheap ice cream comes with a cheap price and you can find that in the freezer section of your local grocery store. The staff are always kind and they do their best to keep the lines moving, which can get very long in the summer months. They offer sundaes as well as waffle cones and traditional cones and bowls. The atmosphere is fantastic because you're outside, enjoying the beautiful views of their fields and very often watching the cows walk around eating the grass while you enjoy ice cream with your family or friends.“

“Best breakfast in the area! This cute little store front has you feeling like you’re back in the 50s. Counter service and three small booths. Breakfast lunch and ice cream is all they serve. Great small town feel as well. We love this place and will definitely be back! Highly recommend the smothered home fries.“

“This little Mystic gem has the delicious ice cream creations around! I had the PB & fudge sundae and my wife had the caramel lovers sundae. OMG delightful! The ice cream is fantastic, the service is quick. Not a lot of seating and it is always packed but the line moves quickly. It gives you time to make the perfect choice. The ambiance is cute, like a country ice cream shop. I love good ice cream and this place knocks it out of the park! A must try and you won't be disappointed!“

“Been wanting to check out Millie’s, as Millie is my nickname. I got pumpkin ice cream with hot fudge sauce & it was a 10/10. I ordered the $4 kiddie size & it was equivalent to the size of a small at other places. Free parking is available, as well as a seating area.“

“Line was very long but they worked so fast that we barely had enough time to decide on what to order. They also mate our orders pretty quickly. Place was freezing inside. You can sit inside but they have 3 picnic tables. Parking lot is big and lots of customers stay in their car. Plenty of parking.“

“We were visiting from CA where our local Rita's regularly has six water ice flavors. The New London Rita's shop has 12 flavors! We ordered peach water ice, mango gelati, blue raspberry gelati, and chocolate-vanilla twist frozen custard. Super affordable (less than $25 ) compared to California prices. Friendly service, easy parking, indoor or outdoor seating. Great way to cool off after a hot and humid CT day.“

“The Friendly's in norwich conn. Is great. Haven't been to one since they closed them all. Found this one by chance. Good food specials for seniors and a sundae free with some meals. Good choices for all eaters. I grew up with a Friendly's when I was little, A lot for banana splits and awful awful Shakes on Friday nites. I missed them when they closed so many. I really enjoyed it and it brought back good memories.“
