“This place, named after the local stream of my youthful watering holes, is still glorious. The beer selection, which you can monitor on Digital Pour the app, has some tasty selections. My wife enjoyed one of my personal favorites, Back East's Ice Cream Man. I savoured the foggy/hazy Abomination Ale's Wandering Into the Fog.Our server was very courteous and checked in; we nodded our approval of all the meals. My wife had the Salmon Burger, which she pronounced "very good." Son, the magician, made his Fenton Burger and Fries disappear (up his sleeve?) and my Pastrami Reuben was delicious. A lovely meal, made extra special by a son turning 32! Time flies, but time here was well spent!“

“My dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. We sat at the bar and got to watch a dynamic duo slam out a very crowded breakfast in a methodical like fashion. Our server was attentive and friendly. Everyone had smiles even tho the place was literally packed with a wait at the door. Noone skipped a beat. And the food was great. I honestly liked the portions not being over bearing and feeling stuffed. And my dad loved the homemade peach jam. Thank you “

“Me and my girlfriend have been regulars here for about 2 years now. The food is always amazing. We usually get 2 main dishes and then two side dishes and it always only takes just about 50 minutes so I’m not sure about the wait time complaints. It’s always worth the wait either way. I am very happy to have found this restaurant and I will be coming here as long as I live in CT.Vegetarian options: I always get the paneer tikka masala rather than a meat Tikka masala and it’s just so so good.Wheelchair accessibility: I am not disabled but there is a ramp leading up to the restaurant so I would assume that’s pretty accessible, also have a couple big handicap spots as well.“

“I came here last night for the first time after a recommendation and so glad we did cause they did not disappoint. The decor is a little dated however we have the nicest waitress Natasha who made the evening so great. She was very prompt and friendly and really funny. The food portions were a generous size and everything we had was really good. We never once asked for water refills, she just kept them coming. Amazing staff. Amazing food. Will be returning to our new local favorite spot in the very near future and hopefully will get the same amazing waitress.“

“I’ll write about the food in a moment, but this place gets 5 stars for their staff. Management did a great job hiring and/or training their staff.We were driving from New York to Massachusetts. We had ordered take out, but it was cold outside and they graciously sat us and nicely plated our food without a second thought. As soon as we sat at our table my son vomited. They were incredibly helpful and patient in cleaning up and continued to be upbeat and kind to my family.The pizza was very good, charred a bit more than my preference, but that’s a personal preference. The salad was superb and I loved the unique polenta croutons.We tipped generously, but wanted to thank the staff for their kindness, again!“

“Let me start by saying we live in Coventry and Kathmandu has delivered hot delicious food to our home time and time again! This evening my wife and I decided to dine in and the experience was better than expected! We had Samosas, Thai noodles, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Tikka Masala, and Naan. The service was friendly and attentive. The owner/chef came out to our table to ask how everything was. What I told him is what I'm telling all of you. This is the best Indian food I've had to date! I have a strong culinary background and highly recommend you put this place on a short list of great food destinations! In the past we've had curry lamb, tomato soup, tom yam soup, lolipop chicken, fried rice, and aloo paratha. Make your way through the whole menu, you won't be disappointed!“

“This is an exceptional Chinese takeout! I moved to the area last year and like most of us, I’ve tried many Chinese takeout places, both here and in previous towns I’ve lived. I hadn’t seen this one until recently when shopping at the antique store next door and the yummy smell was wafting over. The antique shop owner recommended them and mentioned they took pride in their business and cared a great deal about their food. The high ratings are unusual too, you don’t often see restaurants with a rating this high, so we knew we needed to try it. We definitely see why — the family that runs it is so friendly and the food was wonderful and tasted so fresh! They’ve definitely won us as permanent customers, I doubt I’ll even want to bother going to the other local Chinese takeouts after this.“

“Our recent school staff's Christmas celebration was an amazing success due to the wonderful amenities provided by this establishment. Their service staff were so attentive to everybody's needs and their courteous service made me feel right at home. Let's not forget the delicious food served in their buffet line! The buffalo wings, drumsticks, and pulled pork were so delicious, it was impossible to resist countless returns to the buffet line. The space that my school was allowed to use was adequately spacious and comfortable for the group size of over 40 in attendance. There was even space available for a small musical ensemble to perform and dance floor to jam to the music. Restroom facilities were kept in utmost state of cleanliness! Hops44 is certainly a place to go to with family or for special celebrations. Did a google location search, easy to find. We got in about 12:30, we ordered our meals! Nothing but fantastic!! Food perfectly cooked, my husband who is highly picky, was so satisfied. The food is hearty, the staff is nice and attentive without being annoying. The owner is a gentleman and the live entertainment is excellent. “I used to go here all the time in college. I remember the food being perfect every time. Happened to be in the area, of course I had to go again! Wow - food is still incredible. Just like I remember it!! Best sushi in the area HANDS DOWN. Fish is incredibly fresh and the rolls are always super stuffed. Youre getting what you pay for! I got the Pink Lady, my absolute favorite roll. The picture I took does NOT do it justice. The roll is huge!! If you like fresh fish over the spicy mayo mixes / fried tempuras, this roll is for you. Drawbacks for the food are that the menu is somewhat limited and, also, they don't have any guarantees for those with food allergies, which is kind of weird, for a restaurant. Everything they serve has the potential to be contaminated with either milk ingredients or soy ingredients, so if you have either of those allergies, you won't be able to eat anything here. They could do with some updating of their decorations but it's not a big deal, to be honest. Mainly the fact that's it's cold in there - that's the major con. Wear a sweater, if you need to, when you visit this place. It can be loud, at times, but usually isn't. And it's always pretty clean. They could do with dimming the lights a tiny bit more, though.Overall, positive experience. What the place lacks is made up for with top notch customer service. The staff are also very knowledgeable, as well as very respectful and helpful. Service can drop, slightly, even it's busy, but that's expected. I definitely recommend the place. Expect to spend about $30 each, for a full dinner or lunch experience, and expect to leave well-fed and happy.“

“Five members of my family ate a late breakfast here and each had a different offering. Everyone thought their meal was very good. I personally had the homemade corned beef hash breakfast that comes with two sides, a fruit cup and rye toast in my case. Other side offerings were home fries, tomato slices and hash browns. My hash was lean and tasty and the eggs, over easy, were perfectly cooked. We all walked away happy and full. The only negative comment I heard was that the home fries were a little salty. The staff was was friendly and our waitress was great...friendly, outgoing and very efficient. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.“

The food was super hot and fresh upon delivery and oh my God it was delicious. “Tokyo Ramen is a great sit-down spot on the UConn campus. They have several different options including vegetarian/vegan ramen and rice bowls. Substitutions on menu dishes are welcome to make the perfect bowl for you. The service is always great and food comes out very quickly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated despite being in an older strip mall on campus. I also recommend adding the spicy chili pepper powder at the table to your ramen if you're into spice!“

The place is rustic but clean and well organized. Parking can be tricky and limited but a free parking garage is one street down so if the weather is good it's a comfortable walk. I tried the Spicy Beast Rap and liked it very much, my cousin had the Chicken Tacos and he was very pleased ....
