You've probably passed this place a million times but the food is amazing! I had been looking for a new restaurant that sold Spanish food for a while, and just happened to stumble upon this one a little over a year ago. It's right down the block from Sazon, but sometimes it's good to switch it up! Sabor Criollo is a home-style restaurant run by a Dominican family -- their broken English is good, but knowing broken Spanish is a plus :-). Delicious! Ordered a patacon de bistec, which uses two large plantains (tostones) as the "bread" of a steak sandwich. It was amazing. The woman working the counter was very friendly and helpful. We will be back soon.
