“Tonight was my first visit to Steamed. The service was great and prompt. The food was exceptional and truly authentic Chinese cuisine. I decided to go with the dumpling sampler as an entree after starting with a pork won ton soup. It would be nice if they had alcoholic beverages, but the flavor and quality of the food more than made up for that and the fruit tea was delicious. We will definitely go back soon. This place is a gem!”

Full review- Just found out about this gem and had to try it. As a connoisseur of Caribbean cuisine it is our mission to try and review every restaurant we can in the area.

Apparently, they’ve been open for a few months but we weren’t aware. Found them on a google maps search at 5.05pm on Saturday. The listing said they closed at 5pm. On a whim called the phone number immediately and pleaded with them to stay open for pick up. The kind lady replied that she was planning to be open for another couple of hours. So I jumped in the car and headed over there quickly.

We ordered variety of dishes :
- Chicken jerk chicken
- Curry goat
- Oxtail

The jerk chicken was running out so we completed the order with a little bit of stew chicken.

All the dishes were very good.
The rice and peas were truly special - Perhaps an extra dose of Love❤️
The Stew chicken was also outstanding.
We will be ordering all these dishes again.

The location is incredibly convenient. it is on College Street literally a block from Main Street.

Middletown is emerging us a culinary destination, and this lovely cozy Jamaican spot really elevates the game.

The food is good. The people are wonderful. the location is fantastic.

The staff were so accommodating when we realized we hadn’t counted ourselves (the bride and groom) in the guest count and needed 2 more seats, quickly making the adjustments to the tables and to the food. They were able to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions, as well as providing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to everyone. Our host even took a group photo for us at the end of the event. We absolutely recommend having an event here at Esca!”

The bowl brings me back memories of when I first had a pokebowl.

The portions were generous, and all the mix-ins and proteins were thoroughly mixed with the sauces instead of the past few times where they just squirted sauces on top.

I would have to say if this is not under ownership, whoever made my bowl around 12:45pm on 7/1/25 should get a well deserved praise.

I have given up on Pokemoto on middletown and decided to order here on a whim but pleasantly surprised the change in quality (for good)

There was a nice police officer in front on me who helped me find the entrance (you need to go through the mall entrance to get in). I offered to pay for his coffee but I guess they offer free coffee for police officers which I think is very nice perk for them for all they do. The pastries are a bit overpriced as I was having some work done on my truck so wanted to pick up some brownies and coffee cake for the employees and came to over $50 with my chai.
